Easy

I can tell by the pattern. My father used to own a machine shop that had numerous Blanchard grinders. I was Blanchard grinding when I was 15 yrs old. We used to grind brake rotors for Paul Newman and Bob Sharp racing. They liked the grind pattern and the close tolerance. Not to many places Blanchard grinding these days.

hahaha :-laf :-laf

Running the old blanchard at 15 huh? That's cool that someone recognizes the pattern. The blanchard sure does git r done. You can get a smooth finish on the blanchard too, but I figure the roughness will help bite on the gasket some.

How many parts you launched off the blanchard?

I had to duck a few times  It sucks when you spin down the head too far when the chuck is on it's way in. I haven't used one since 1984 though. I don't miss blowing steel dust out of my nose. Running the Blanchard at 15, cleaning them at 8 (fun, fun, fun Oo. )

o-rings installed and head ready to drop in.

FWIW, if anyone buy's aftermarket springs, test them against your stockers for spring rate. You could be surprised at what you find out.

Hey Roman, after the discussions on Valve Springs, let me give you a bit of news. We buzzed the motor to 5500 this weekend, and guess what? The valves never hit the pistons. It is all in the shim / coild bind / and other details. PM me for details.

ZZ frabracations has a new manafold for the 24 valve and CR that will use the stock mounting points and lines . this manifold will come with a template to drill the holes in the head after the stock manifold has been removed.

here is a picture of the race version.

It looks good. Has anyone, maybe the the place makeing them, got any numbers off a flow bench or anything such as that to compare it to a stock setup?
