DieselB59-
You are always welcome to stop by my little ol garage!! I'll take you out for milk anytime!! Wait til you see what I'm doing with my milk runner now!! Let's just say you will be BLOWN AWAY!!! (PPSSSSSSSSSSS!) And I may be giggling too( or maybe that's the engine!!):-laf
and we'll be trying out a new Keisler 5 speed trannsmission... .
Man, you know me always tinkering and tweaking something!!
Ahhhhhh yes nothing like a good old milk run to keep the juices flowing!!:p
(now I have more enthuisiasm- thanks!)

Anyhow- glad to see you back on the forums!! It's been far too long!! Since the good ol U-96 days! Talking to you on the phone about the time at Island Dragway- when the fourth HX-40 let loose- and your recording the video- and I'm in the background laughing my sinister evil laugh- brought back memories! AHH!- the good ol days..... :-laf :-laf !!

So you musta finnally made it through these postings here..... what cha think?

Been along time since I was taking my truck to THE FINEST Diesel Shop in Jersey=AutoWurks Diesel-Caldwell,N. J. - you think I've matured into these peanut diesel engines? And to think that I really didn't want to touch em' before- NOT ANYMORE!!

Oo. Did you tell Mike about my new game plan?(what we talked about- and don't mention it here!!) What does he think? ? It will be happening (the sooner the better!) but you know development of a program takes time to do it right, and I want to go out and do it the right way, the first time! The more allies I have the better:-laf !

Man we've got to get together again! Wake up the troops- you know what I mean? ;)

Lots of interesting info here. Makes me really miss those pre-marital, pre-children days as well. We were in the infancy of how deep this stuff has gotten back in those good 'ol days. I enjoyed gazing admirably at your abundance of thermal coatings (still waiting to see all the body panels done one day), but what really caught me was the shot of the Autometer speedo going out for milk. Mike and I talked a bit about what you're doing, but as I told him, you've just gotta read through all 22 pages of posts to really get it all. I think it's safe to say that you have some allies in us. Stop on by the shop, even if you can only say hi and bye. I've got some, get this one, twisted axle shafts for you to admire from the last season we ran the U-96 when we moved up to the bigger meats. Plus, I also have a melted down #1 piston for you to admire on a 12 valve that a customer let the pyro hang way too hot for waaaay too long while pulling a fat triple axle trailer.

:-laf Heh-heh- How about this one- I tweaked my buddies HX-35 Exhaust housing with my die grinder-gave him my 'old'air intake filter homebuilt job installed them and sent him on his way- didn't see him for a little bit and finally seen him, I asked him How'd it go? He walked over to his passenger side truck and open the door and pulled out the stock input shaft- snapped! He had reached that point with the stocker shaft and I guess since he could keep his foot in it a little bit longer-it finally gave in- well he is paying his toll to get into Pa- and he's ready to leave hard-BANG- he got the shaft instead!! And I was laughing!! I told him that was free horsepower:-laf :-laf

I'd like to call it Damage Incorpporated!!

Dealing with the local machinists here in Jersey sucks!:{ I went to one recently and explained briefly what I am looking for and the S. O. B. told me that if I was to put twins on my truck that the rods will grenade!! Can you imagine that!? I told him that I personally have never ever even heard or seen rod problems like that with our diesels! His reply: I've got better things to do- I've got Ferrarri engines that I work on, I'm not hurting for money... ... ..... He was still yapping as I walked out his shop..... I hope he gagged on that long S. B. D. bomber I left for him to enjoy!!:-laf :-laf

I might just have to look for some equipment myself!! Hey it's not like this is the only thing I'll need the equipment for anyhow..... frustrating times like this make me want to hit the road in search of a new milkhouse!!;)

I just want to complete this project because I have full faith in it working the way it should!!

 Jeepers!! I wonder if I get this new equipment- if I can turn out heads already prepped for the Ramifold??!! Holy Smokes!!

My brain just hit spin cycle!!

Now I have to make some room in my garage!! Hey looky there! No money down-payment plan on equipment!! Oo.

Wait a sec... ... oh no! The brain is on full smoke mode!!

Anybody have small stacks that I can put in my ears- it's getting smokey over here!!!!;)

o-rings

o-rings installed and head ready to drop in.

FWIW, if anyone buy's aftermarket springs, test them against your stockers for spring rate. You could be surprised at what you find out.
