Competition First time dyno

Off Roading cool old turd ford mudding

Hey that was the best one yet! The turbo didnt do the sneezing thing down the track either. Looks like there was a bit of bouncing going on towards the end. Great pull though... .

Good job Scott!!! How do these Modified trucks respond to a very loose track? Often thought about someday having one up here but I think our tracks are alot like yours. In about 20-30 pulls up here in Ontario there are just a hand full that might compare to what is in say Indiana or Ohio. Alot of our tracks are anything from straight topsoil to stone dust. Found last year that the low power guys did better than we did just because it was to easy for us to over power the track.

Good job again with that pull... looked like how it used to pull before you got it!

Thanks guy's

Ryan, that is exactly what I am up against over powering is an understatement. It will over power the track blow the tires loose and then I loose boost which doesn’t let my water stay on, so more heat.

I need to play with gear selection I guess, anybody have any idea on a final gear ratio for loose tracks :D

Yeah, we were doing that exact same thing up here. Luckly for use most of the times we were able to pull a larger gear or use a taller, much more agressive tire. I know those cut tires are super aggresive but would a fresh set with deeper lugs help... thing that sucks though is it will probably just work against you seeing you will be draging all that much more dirt with the sled! Hard to get the best of both worlds I guess!

Awesome Scott! That track looked very good, nice, wide, well packed, watered and no fence 5 feet off the passenger side door. :-laf

What did you do differently to prevent the hick-up'n of the boost like the previous pulls? It sounded great and looked very steady other than the hopping that came about.

Scott,

When Kent took his truck out there a couple years back and won the LACR event mod class it looked like he did just fine on a loose track... .

Maybe I need to ask kent what gears he was using :D

Actually, the LACAR track was good compared to what we usually see, I think Craig did a decent job on it.

Joe, pretty much nothing different, it was just a better track then I have seen so far this year. Lets hope the J&H folks have a decent track this year :D See ya this weekend.

:D See ya this weekend.

Sorry, Scott, won't be seein' ya this weekend, remember that is one HELL of a haul for me to make it up there not to mention I only have time this weekend to make it to the Newman Father's Day pull so, I think I'll be seein' ya @ Ukiah the next time. Good luck this weekend and looking forward to the video on Monday... ... Oo. I'll post mine up from Sunday as well.

I liked Big Bad Dodge better, god I wished I would have had the money when you had it on E bay... I wouldn't have cared about the block being melted down I could have got another one. You should put a BIG CUMMINS logo across that thing so people don't mistake a real power plant for a fords POS joke of a motor/motors "meaning the 6. 0 and 6. 4"
