Link.

I hope it's good!

One thing I'm annoyed at is most of the Autobots are GM vehicles. Product placement always leaves me feeling a little slimy.

I never fully forgave my parents for not taking me to see the cartoon movie in the theater as a kid. I won't be missing this one.

Me too! 2 years ago I finally bought the DVD. I watched it, and I though "OH, okay, now I get it!". I remember the series being so different after the movie and feeling totally lost.

A few of my fellow geek friends and I are planning on heading over to the local IMAX to see this one. The CGI in this movie is incredible!

A Transformers CGI test.

IMAX? Ooooo, me like! I didn't even think about that. [Actually, I've never been to an IMAX movie. ]

[Actually, I've never been to an IMAX movie. ]

when i was in HS, we went on a class trip to ontario place and had an all day imax viewing [6 "educational" films iirc] and there was one with a stunt plane flying, and i started to get motion sickness from it [and a few in the class did let it "fly"]

I saw it tonight! WOW. I thought it was awesome! No, epic! No, stupendous!

Critically, it's not doing so well. But for those of us who remember the original series, this movie is pretty close.

Like the series, the plot makes very little sense. Mostly, it's giant robot combat. As my friend put it, the movie has two modes: comedy and combat. There's almost no love story. There is almost no character development. Many things make no sense at all (why do robots need to blink?).

And all that makes it wonderful. Ignore the plot, ignore the characters, and just watch those awesome robots.

The CGI is amazing. I mean, you'd swear those robots really are there in the scenes. It's almost perfect. I'd say the only think they still need to work on is dirt. What I mean is, after major combat I thought the robots (especially Rachet) look a little too clean and shiny.

And the mechanical sounds! They did such a great job with the audio of giant machinery moving around. I could sit and listen to the sounds of machinery for hours. Made me so glad I was able to leave the theater and get in my diesel truck and listen to it clank around.

And the movie made me want to run out and get a GMC Topkick with a Road Armor bumper.

I want to see it a few more times, but movies are a bit too expensive for me to do that kind of thing. But I can't wait for the opportunity to see it again.

Definitely worth seeing on the big screen. There so much action you absolutely cannot follow it all.

Wonder if it will be coming to the IMAX theaters? :D More expensive, but the screen is HUGE! :D Saw "The Night at The Museum" there. Everything is so big and in your face. Pretty

I see the movie is PG-13, my six year old wants to see it. Those that have seen it would it be ok for my boy? Or would he be to scared? Or would I be to scared?:-laf

There are some inuendos but other than that I think it would be ok. At least I seen a fair amount of younger kids at my theater. As for being scared, I don't think it will be a problem. I say go see it. I'm 27 and went to see it with my Dad and he would have taken me at six. At my age I grew up with Transformers though!
