Engine oil: Chevron Delo 400 15w40

Engine Oil Filter: Napa Gold 1607

transmission (NVG5600): OEM oil Texaco STF1874

Xfer Case: Mobile 1 Synthetic Dextron III

Front and rear axles: OEM oil

When you replace the oil in the NVG5600, use a hand oil pump to remove the remaining oil from the bottom of the transmission, and wipe the metal shavings off the magnet

what i use

ENGINE OIL rotella 15w40

ENGINE OIL FILTER oem

FRONT&REAR DIFFS oem

TRANS oem

TRANSFER CASE red atf

COOLANT not texaco elc

motor oil - 15-40, not the best, but its what i use

5spd transmission and transfer case, Mercon V ATF, shifts really fast

Coolant- propolene glycol, excellant coolant, has a boiling temp of 360 some degrees, and doesn't partially vaporize (boil) like water and cause hot spots near the rings and top of the motor.

Front and rear end, --15-40, it transfer the heat better IMO

winsheild wiper fluid - $0. 89 at Wally World

Another Good & "Unbiased" Thread

For the Mighty CTD: Chevron Delo® 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 .

For the DC Automatic: AMSOIL Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid.

For the Dana Differentials: Series 2000 SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube.

For the Coolant: I am ready and leaning towards Rotella Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant.

Windshield Washer Fluid: Prestone Summer & Winter. I have tried the RainX Summer, NG.

For everything else: Valvoline SynPower.

:D

coolant

how much coolant is the trucks capacity? I dont have my manual. Any additives suggested. Im changing it next week. Any tips or tricks.

Crank: Shell Rotella 15W-40

Filter: Fleetguard Stratapore

Pumpkins: Lubrication Engineers Synthetic 75W-140

Transmission: Castrol Syntorq (not purchased from Dodge:rolleyes: )

Transfer Case: Amsoil ATF

Coolant: Napa low silicate

Steering: Valvoline Synpower

Big Daddy T,

Do a search, there are a couple of excellent threads on changing coolant. I have one printed out and in my shop stuff. It's very easy, I think total capacity is 5 gallons?

I found the hardest part to be changing buckets without spilling antifreeze :D .

Coolant=Prestone 5/150 change every 2 years. (cant find Cummin's brand anywhere around here... this prestone has ZERO of the bad things Cummins says should be "low or none")
