UP of Michigan

Been there done that and there is nothing there but UPERS! I have been to the gorge out side of Houghton MI and spent a couple of days at BARAGA state park. Lake Superior was real warm that summer in July, I think the water temp was like 50F and we had frost one night.

I'm heading there on Monday. We drive South to Bow Valley Provincial Park, West of Calgary and the make our way up the Icefields Parkway from Banff to Jasper, over to Hinton and back to Edmonton. It's GREAT growing up near the Canadian Rockies. This will be my first trip climbing some serious hills with the "new" truck. David

You will love those Canadian Rockies! Calgary and Edmonton are out in the prairie land or flat lands. If you get a chance go west to see Yoho and the Kootenay, beautiful country. I was on the Kootenay when they were building that road through the mountains and it was like we were the only ones on the planet there. The picture was somewhere West of Banff & Jasper.

We were in Yoho NP and Banff NP last year. This year we will be Kootenay, Banff and Jasper National Parks. Love the Mountains. I want to go down to Montana some year and see the rest of them. David
