These are an alum wheel.

Can't answer your question, but why do you want those even if they do bolt up? Not many tires to choose from since they are 17" instead of 16".

OH!!,,,,,,,Good question?>... ... .

The reason I asked..... was I MAY HAVE FOUND A DEAL...

but takeing in what you said. .

That's not entirely true. The Offsets are different. Wheels 2000 and up will set in closer to the truck on '99 down, switch the other way and they will stick out at least an inch more. Of course nothing 2002 and older will fit the 3rd Gen trucks.

There is getting to be a few more tire selections for 17" but it still bites.

Yes

They will fit. I have 03 alloys on my 99 with 285-70-17 BFG's. The stock center caps will NOT work with the newer wheels. The 03 center caps work for some. I've heard many say the 03 center caps won't work because not enough depth to clear the rear axle hub. I think the reason some have problems is the difference between the alloy and the steel wheels. The alloys are far thicker in the center where it bolts up. The thinner steel wheels make the rear hub stick out further and the center caps won't fit. I wanted a wider rim for larger tires. Needed more than the 6. 5" wide steel wheels I had. Research showed me that the newer 2nd gen alloys (8" wide) would not fit on my 99 because of brake drum and tie rod clearance issues. So, the 03+ wheels were the next choice. I didn't want to go the aftermarket wheel route. Didn't think of the poor tire selection in 17" size until after I got the wheels. Vaughn stated there is a difference in offset. I suppose this could be true, but I don't notice it at all. They don't seem to be sitting in closer to the truck. Maybe this is because I've got more tire there now. Anyways, this route cost me a bundle, but I am very happy with the way it turned out.
