LOVE my truck...

Picked up new 5th wheel today... here are weights

It's those cold startups at about 10 degrees that really make people appreciate my truck! Does the word "ambush" mean anything? Heh Heh.

Since I got my '99 folks think my 77 GMC is a loaner and don't mind asking outright. Now that the clutch is out I don't plan to fix it soon either. Can't help but laugh when those who don't know it's broke, ask to use it for a couple of hours. I always say sure, no problem. Come on over first chance you get and we'll put the clutch in for I'd appreciate your help. They stay away now.

10-4 on the snowplow!! I also am a residential roofing contractor, and it seems everyone needs that service sooner or later. Both of these businesses are in existence to pay my mortgage and put food on the table.
If people are gainfully employed, I figure they have the means to pay for the service. I do enjoy contributing to community service events and Habitat for Humanity, but that's always my decision, not someone elses. Andy

Here is my rule on just about everything.

I don't loan my truck and I don't loan out my wife. Because if I do, they will both come back screwed up. #ad

You can insert tool, guns,or etc. for truck.

Just think back twenty or thirty years ago when not near as many people had trucks. It was a lot worse then, people asking for a little "help"

I have an enclosed snowmobile (box) trailer. I've had people want to put CARS in it and have me haul it for free. (A car is too long :rolleyes #ad

I had a cheapskate boss a few year ago want to "rent" it to move his folks. I said "sure" and quoted him the same price that U-haul wanted plus $200 for tires.

I have a couple friends I can count on to help and I help them. It's a given that whoever "needs" the pays for gas, food, etc. I bought many a pizza when I was a youngun' and moved every couple years.

Anybody know where I can find a bumper sticker like that?

I found the best way to discourage people on the move is to keep my camper on the truck until I am ready to haul. I just tell them one of the jacks isn't working, but I will take them down to U-Haul. Works like a charm.

The three things I don't loan are my guns, my fishing gear and my truck. Loaned my 30-06 to my son who wanted to take his buddy hunting with him. He let his buddy have my gun and I got it back two weeks later coated with rust and the stock beat to pieces. Never again, even to my son.

Loaned him my chainsaw, and he drove off leaving it in the woods. Never got it back. That was ten years ago and he still keeps telling me he is going to replace it. LMAO on that one.

Friends don't let friends have friends who don't have truck!

But I'm with illflem on the back hoe. Yup, everyone seems to think that it delights me to take it to their place just to ..... or one friend had the nerve to borrow it and I learned later it was to do another friend of HIS a favor.
