I just did this morning. I was going stop-light to stop-light with a Black Lexus SUV, and the first three lights, he always got out ahead of me because of obstructions in my lane: first a pedestrian, then a car turning, then safety cones from an excavation, etc. So we come to the last light before the street funnels from 2 lanes down to 1, and clearly he thinks HE is going to be leading when it funnels down to one lane, clearly he thinks I am in some POS Pickup. So the light turns green and right off the line I pull out ahead, but I'm not giving it full pedal, so he stomps it and tries to catch up... Sorry Pal... I stomp it too and pulled out by several car lengths and then I had to cut over, cause the street was narrowing... Gee sorry about that! Hope you like the smell of Diesel Smoke!

I have raced quite a few of those punks. They see my gauges and get silly. It is really funny to heckle them after whoopin them too:-laf :-laf . My wife starts in with the immature speech, LOL. One kid with his hat on backwards handed me my hienie though in a dodge avenger. First light I hammered him pretty good, next light he purged the gas as he was rolling up and I slipped into 4WD when I saw it. I boost launched (only about 6-7psi)and took him to about 30 and he went by me, we did a roll on from 30 after he slowed and he hammered me pretty good. We then did another roll on from 70 out on the highway and I held my ground but could not beat him. We talked (me down to him through his sunroof LOL) for a little bit and he was blown away that a diesel could run like that, nice enough kid. There are a few kids out there that can row a 5 speed pretty good and have cars that actually run good, but most of them are punks. The acura those guys on the link think is so fast in stock form is eaten alive by my truck, the sales manager where I used to work did not think it was funny either:-laf :-laf

At the first test and tune at the Mid Michigan Motorplex this year there was a group of 5 guys there running ricers (Hondas, Toyotas, etc), with BIG exhaust pipes, etc. Part way through the day they're near me in the staging lanes. One of them (guy with spiked hair, bleached blond on top, black on the sides) walks up to me laughing and asks what I'm doing there with a big ... slow truck. I just couldn't resist - went over and checked his car out and then went up to the guy that lines people up and asked if he could put us together. He asked what I was driving as these guys had given the tech guy trouble earlier and the starters trouble later - told him I was in the Dodge diesel and what I got back was, oh yeah, I can do that! So we raced and he turned an 18. 2 to my 16. 02! Plus I cut a . 4 better light than he did ! While my truck was cooling for the next run I found him in the pits and tapped him on the shoulder and asked what he thought of my big ... slow truck now? Seems he didn't want to talk any more! Revenge tastes soooooo sweet! The funniest part is that I could have loaded his little ricer car in the bed of my truck and STILL had a faster ET than his most likely!!!!! BTW, I talked to the track guy when I got up near the front the next time and he burst out in laughter as I came up to him - he loved it.

Being that my truck isn't bombed yet, and I don't do much racing to begin with anymore I haven't done much, but I did play with a guy in a chevy short bed p/u that had a v-6 and had done some work to it. we were on the highway playing and I think he was pretty amazed at how much power my stock HD2500 4x4 CTD had, I never really go tinto it and was just hanging out beside him every time he tried to pull away..... If you want to see something impressive, take a look at this (I can't remember which BBS I got this from, if itsfrom here, I apologize for the duplication)

Ive spanked a ton of those farters in the last few months. Whenever we get a light,I slip it into 4hi,and provoke the poor unsuspecting kids. The comp goes on level5x5,and when the light turns,well lets say with 4. 10's,and the DTT 89%,the truck practically leaps out of the hole,and eats them so bad they usually give up. I had one guy in a Eagle talon,with all the goodies,this car ran 13,2's they said. Well it didnt that night,I smoked him,got hin by 2 cars by thr 1/8th mi,and held it the rest of the way. I love when 4cyl import economy car drivers think that 4" exhaust,a roll bar,guages and 37 stickers will get them in the 13's,they are still in the 18's.
