LOL I laugh at that, when those little saturns or honda civics got those loud big tail pipes and racing stickers all over them. I would be one thing if your car is actualy fast, but its stupid to put all that junk on and try to race peeps. Stickers and tail pipes isnt going to win you races.

My wife likes to race more than me! She especially likes it when these Hondas, Acuras, etc. with big pipes and decals pull along side her at stoplights and rev their engines. If, when the light changes and they take off hard, she will usually just stay with them to let them think they are winning until they make the first gear shift, then blow them away by a few car lenghts to let them know in no uncertain terms she is faster than them. She lets them go after that. She is not doing that with my truck..... she uses her car. She has a Lexus GS400.

I very seldom get anyone to race me. I have wipped up on couple of gassers chevys.

I also tried to mess with a porshe 930 turbo..... he wipped me, but gave me a thumbs up at the next light. Maybe once the DD3' and HX40 go in I will look him up. .



As for those cars with all the stickers and crap on them... . they get smoke all over them every time.

This is the best CTD vs Gasser race that I have seen.



We were in Hiperf360s old 12V truck. I am not sure what was done to it really. It didn't smoke a whole lot but it was FAST. it ran the 1/4 at 16. 80@98mph and stuck the needle on a 35PSI autometer guage between the Os on boost lol. So it was a screamer from 30mph all the way to 100. We were out cruzing and we came accross a guy in a 94 mustang 5 speed. It had aftermarket wheels and exhaust as far as I could tell. John tryed messing with him and he just laughed. After asking him why he was scared to race a dually he hit it a little and saw how the dodge could run. He then wanted to go from 100. We exchanged some words and I explained that this truck would hardly go 100 and he was just scared to race a diesel. Well he dropped it then and so did john. 3rd gear the stang had a fender. Jon nailed 4th and we drove past him and by the time we were in fifth he had a tailpipe bellowing in his window. The look on the guys face was priceless he was slamming gears as hard as he could. Needless to say he was PISSED OFF lol. He was yelling at us at the next light telling us to race from 100. I was laughing so hard I could barely talk. Jons truck looked totaly stock, so Imagine this guy was pretty cautious with any diesel trucks from then on.



We also ran a M3 beamer on the street. The guy had a buddy taping the race from the passenger seat. We ran from 30-100 and he didn't pass us until the ram was on the govener in 5th. We watched the tape afterwords. The guy was cussing the whole time. Jons pipe was right in the window lol.

Now I just do not get it, a Fourd howyapoke got all this Banks stuff put on his '97 350, he wants to (has to) prove that his $2000+ installation is worth it. First time was leaving work, I got to his side and smiled. Second time was on the freeway on a hill, he pointed forward, I stomped it and watched his blow out a big black cloud... in my mirror. Now mine is a stock '95 3500 5speed and his is an auto with all the banks stuff and not much seems to happen in his favor... should'nt he be able to get the stock Dodge? He always has some dumb A$$ excuse, is the auto eating the power or just not hooking it up to the ground?

The most fun I had blowing someones doors off was when I was pulling up to an intersection and there was a Chevy sitting there in the left lane right at the light. His rear window was covered with huge die cut lettering (letters were around 4-5 inches tall) that said "if you can't hang with the big dogs stay on the porch" and to the left and right were the obligatory calvin stickers with Ford and Chevy underneath. I rumbled up beside him, rolled down the window and blipped the throttle. He TRIED hard to beat me but I had pulled about 2 truck lengths on him by the time we hit 50, then we got stopped at the next light. I yelled over to him "Where's your porch?" ROTFLMAO!! He wouldn't even look at me!!

I do not get to play with other trucks much... . most are old farmers where I live. I do get to play with the ricers on occasion... . I think the word has gotten out..... they do not play with me much anymore.

I have found that if i bump up the Power max3 to level 9 and let out a plume of black smoke they start backing off.



BTW that is how i choose my races too, if i see a little smoke then its "go time" for me.



I also found its a good method of getting tailgaters off your butt its funny whatching them swerve to avoid it. my wife wishes her suburban could do it

That smoke thing gets the tail gaters off like a charm. I was out on the highway the other day and there was this little car on my butt. I turned on the PE and then lightly pushed the throttle down, well I found the sweet smoke spot and it just billowed out of my truck... perfect. Tail gater gone... .

I don't know what the deal is with the Powerstroke. When my truck was stock, I raced my buddy (2001 F250 PowerChoke Auto with some sort of fueling mod (chip?)). He blew my doors off. It didn't matter if we started off the line or doing 60mph roll ons. It really was quite embarrasing. I think I caught the BOMBing bug sometime soon after that...

I agree. A STOCK '97 Powerstroke should be able to beat a stock '95 CTD in an acceleration test. One with a Banks setup should blow it away.

The only thing I hate about smoke is after testing my truck after the injectors where installed I had two people give me the middle finger. What was funniest was watching a Jeep Wrangler catching up to my rear bumper so I hit the go pedal which sent out a good dark smoke clould in which the Wrangler attempted to swerve and miss the smoke I couldn't help if from not laughing so hard.

DHatfield, They are just telling you that you are #1. I had a down pipe until the 4" exhaust. I really like being able to fill the import racer(not) with smoke.



I haven't towed my TT yet butif I blacken it the down pipe will have to go back on
