2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dana 80 Question

Ok, I think I found a good shop about 2 hours from me in Abingdon, Va. Here is there website: Wicked Diesels Intro

I have a 2000 6sp 2500 4x4 long bed quad cab with 70k on the odo.

I told the shop owner that I would like to have a truck that was done right from the beginning. I do not want to just use a "programmer" and leave it at that with fueling high EGT issues. I drive alot and am in some pretty remote areas of WV and VA. Looking for a "sleeper" that I can have alot of fun with but at the same time can drive 250k-350k and not worry about it. Here is what he came up with:

-Gen 3 Track bar

-AFE Intake-he had no opinion on Stage 1 or 2 for what I am doing

-Edge Stage 1 Injectors--I asked about Ind Injection(which he carries) but said for the money and the fact I am not sled pulling the Edge product would be fine

-Edge Juice w/Attitude-asked about SMARTY(He also carries this product) but said with the edge attitude I would get alot of versatility and guages built in.

-Zoom Clutch-Caries Sbend but really likes Zoom and has been selling it 100% over SB for a year

-BD Super B turbo-Again I brought up Ind Injection and he said they are good but for the $$$ the BD would be great with solid low end boost

-In house "FASS system"

-Silverline 4" exh

-Amsoil fluids all around with a Donaldson oil filter

Please remember this guy carries pretty much every mfr.

I am looking for input from you guys on the above suggested items.

Thanks in advance!!!

Adam

Everyone who runs a shop has preferance over items and products but I would be leary of selling a clutch with the name of Zoom when Southbend is world known for dependability. I would also be scared with any "in house" FASS unit as well. I sell Industrial Injection turbos and have never had any trouble with one yet so I prefer those. I wouldnt waste money on a Silverline exhaust when a 300 dollar Expandit system will last nearly as long for a fraction of the cost. Personally Im not a fan of Edge injectors either but to each his own. The Amsoil oils sounds like a great idea but I would stick with Fleetguard stratophore filters myself. You can order them by the case from Genos Garage. The Edge Juice is a good box with guages as you said. The AFE. . I would buy the biggest and best because you are always better off that way. The 3rd gen trackbar isnt neccessary but not a bad upgrade.

Hope this helps, Chris
