Hello all, I'm thinking of ordering a 2024 3500 Dual wheel 4X4. I'm not needing all the bells and whistles. But would like air ride rear suspension and a 50gal fuel tank. Use of truck towing our 10,000lb 34' 5th wheel. any inputs will be appreciated.

Thanks
Craig

I believe those two options are available on all trim levels.

I would also consider adding the 5th wheel prep, aux switches, trailer TPMS, as well as dual alternators if you ever plan to put in a DC-DC charger.

I have yet to run the DRVM tow-mode camera, but if you can order the truck with the DRVM and tow-mode camera I would since the camera has yet to be available for purchase outside of some factory orders. I’m eagerly awaiting its install to have better awareness of what’s behind me while towing my 5th wheel.

I probably wouldn’t go with a DRW for a 10K trailer, but if the DRW doesn’t effect where you drive then it won’t hurt the towing experience. If going DRW I’d also opt for HO and 4.10’s.

Make sure you order it from one of the Ram dealers doing the 4% (or better) off INVOICE, like Granger Motors in Iowa. Could be $10K+ off of MSRP.

Rebates can be few and far between for 3500's at times. This is a good strategy.

My place "claims" they are considered commercial and fall under some different program. I don't trust much when it comes to any dealer, I did get the locked in price deal plus rebates when there were none.

But you see it all the time on their sites they list a huge list of deductions off the truck price and none of which apply to that sale, or maybe don't have a VIN attached to the link.

Trust no one, but the end product is great so necessary process dealing with these places at times.

All in Max Care can be bought anywhere as well and it all is the same no reason to overpay.

Thanks for your inputs. I had a dully back in 04 for a few years and didn't have any problems as a daily driver. But I'm a little older now and driving a long bed. Always told my wife when I had the 04 where the mirrors go the fenders will follow. For what they are offering on trade in it has coast me 125.64 a month for the 39 months that I've owned the truck. But nothing is set in stone yet.

I recently traded my 2018 3500 SRW on a 2023 2500 megacab. Dealer gave me $5k less than I paid for it in '18!

I'd love to be able to upgrade to a newer truck! They have nicer ride and the bells and whistles make for a nicer cabin setup! I'll have to save my pennies, nickels, dimes and hundred dollar bills! Who knows what will happen down the road. @C M McCormick, If you can swing it without causing any monthly finance issues, spoil yourself!

Thanks for the feedback @AH64ID. I just installed a air ride pin box on the 5th wheel and have done only a short trip with it. We are getting ready to go out on a longer one Friday for 17 days. With that being said I will make a decision after that single rear wheel vs dual rear wheel. Will still sick with a long bed. I'm thinking if anything may down size camper size in a few years.
