I'm running 265/70/17 on my dually with no spacers and have about a half inch to spare between duals loaded. I know several guys running 315's on our six inch rims. They have a 2" level kit up front and 2" spacers between the duals. One has gone to mag wheels because of the 315's flexing and breaking loose the plastic simulators.

Are you running those on the stock 6 inch wheels?

Thanks, Bill

Yes sir,six inch factory wheels. I know the 265 prefers a 7 incher but they have worn well with a little over 20,000 on them right now and have pulled 16,000 lbs with no problems.

has anyone tried running the 245/70/17's on the dually like ford runs on the 05/06's???

245/70/17 = 30. 5" height

235/80/17 = 31. 8" height

that seems a little short

The Ford OEM tire is 245/75, not 70. The overall heights are essentially identical.

I'm running the Pirelli Scorpion STR tires on my 03. 265/70/17's no problems, they are right at the same diameter as the 235/80 tire, no problem with them touching under a load, all I do is tow. They are wearing good and hold the road well. Have about 20k on them now, got tired of the Goodyear sidewall cracking problem although I got good wear out of them, 70k+.
