Where can I find info on lemon laws??

Gas Turbines out of old Turbos...

I was at a store today and thumbing through some 4 wheeler magz and they had a story on hot rod diesels. Ticked me off. THey have a POS PSD and a dodge and of course the PSD has bigger injectors, bigger turbo, propane and nos and has a whopping 527hp and 1,020 tq at the rear wheels, BIG DEAL. and of course they pick one of the lowest power Dodges. A 97 with a #10 plate with stock injectors, turbo, and a different intake. Making a whole 350 at the wheels and 690 tq.

Give me a break I could beat this guy. I hate these magazines, all they ever show is stupid Fords. I would love for one of them to meet up with Nowel and his Red Rocket or any of you guys with a different turbo and injectors,AHHHH makes me so mad, I can't stand all these people that just rave about FORDS. There alright trucks I'll give them that but it seems like there on their pay roll. AHHHH

Sorry I had to vent.

What do you guys think? This particular magazine has a Ford on the cover this month, AGAIN

That rag is getting more money from Ford for adverts. So who do think they are going to make look good. Gotta keep the cash flow up.

My self I don't even watch that stuff any more. No matter how much you preach to people. They are still brand loyal most of the time. So I don't worry if someone has a Ford or Chevy or a Dodge. If they ask. I'll give them my experences with all three brands from a mechanics point of view.

Most owners of the 250/350 (any mfg) size trucks. Do not turn them up. They look at the prices on parts/labor and decide that it runs good enough for them. Or have no idea that it can be turned up.

Ford sells 10 PSD's + to ONE Dodge with a Cummins. When in business it pays to know who the customer base is. You cannot blame them, as they have bills to pay and profits to be made.

I SAW THAT! Oo. The Phurd is Phsyco Stroker from the website www.diesel-central.com

The Dodge they had is ONE OF OUR OWN! Scott Vorhees!:D

Its BadBadDodge! Yeah he's one of the lesser powered Cummins, but he's still making more than stock! Scott is one of many of us who only has and alloted amount he can spend on his truck! I know that Bryan Kinney (Physco Stroker) had a lot more $$ to spend on his truck.

REGUARDLESS I would be Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. off the freak'n walls just to have my truck's picture in a NATIONAL magazine!

Hey Scott what'd them Chrome valve covers cost ya? :-laf

Call the editor and set him straight.

Oh did they spell Cummings right? Thats my favorite with these brainless mags.

I had a fit over "FOUR WHEELER" spelling Cummins correct on one page, then on the very next page they misspelled it in a entirely different article reguarding the new Cummins engine.

I've been considering writing a email to these guys so maybe they will do a couple of Cummins Modification stories. Shoot installing a Torque Plate isn't that hard! Or a Mega Cannon, shoot while we're at it why not a 3K GSK! :-laf:-laf:-laf

Okay here is the deal on the article first of all Brian the Furd guy set the whole thing up I never met with anybody and all they had was internet pics wich is why my rig was in black and white they did convert very well secondly the guy who did the article was supposed to come to the NORCAL wich Brian, Zipp, and I put on this past summer it was exsplained to me that he was going to interview and snap several pictures there of other rigs Chris, Nowell, Brandon and others but he didn't show and if he did Nowell and Brandons rigs didn't show due to work being done on them. So I am asuming that they just went ahead and printed the article with what they had. I do have a limmited budget for mods as GotSmoke mentioned above I am an active duty military guy living off military pay and have to save like crazy to get mods. I am having several exstream mods done in the next few months with a trip to Canada planned if you know what I mean when I get home and get her cleaned up that's when I will try to get a better full color article in.

Shane, I have no doubt you can beet me, if thats what you are so upset about you win :G

If you are upset about not having your rig, or other high hp Dodges in the mag all you have to do is contact them it took Brian months to get us in there.

Scott

Bryan is on our side... ... Congrats on the pics and the write up, it is well earned

scotts truck aint no slouch, the article dont tell ya about all the stuff he has in his garage waiting for the big bad dodge...

well deserved Bryan and Scott

I for got to mention that Bryan now owns more Dodges then Furds, he just bought a new 2002 Cummins, and his wife drives a bueatifull 2001 Cummins. I might also add that we both know Nowell and he is great friend of ours, I have supported him on his runs at Sears Point, 12. 3, on more then one ocasin and have been to his shop to help with some work on Chris Suttons twins:D

Thanks "B", who knows maybe after the mods go in maybe front cover.

Scott

High Ram Power?

Hey BBD, let me know if those magboys are interested in some serious Cummins shtn & gitn power! Although that might threaten their norms a bit:)

Congrats on Bryan's new acqusiston, although I don't think he owns it yet. And I believe the six speed belongs to his wife, no? Don't paint him into a corner now :D Wife/Dodge, and Psycho/Dodge&Ford. Psycho is well rounded brand wise, not favoring either brand:-laf :-laf So diplomatic:rolleyes:

Scott/ BBD

I didn't mean anything to you on saying I could beat you, just being sarcastic, your truck is much nicer than mine, but we both are on the low scale of what these engines are capable of. (Two of my roomates are AirForce at Hill in Utah, so I know military pay) I know how that goes. I thought you might have been a fellow TDR but no flame intended on you or your truck. I know people buy Fords but most people buy them because thats all they see, than when I run them they look suprised and than when I tell them I have almost 200,000k on it they are speachless. One of my friends has seen this PSD and kept telling me it had 1200 hp, I told him it might be tq but not hp. If people only knew what HVAC and PIERS and everybody has done with the Cummins I think there would be a switch. I don't understand brand loyalty except to Cummins, but that justs because they are the best, and thats not an opinion thats fact.

Sorry Scott your truck rocks but I know that if you had the same money available to you as was spent on that Ford you would smoke him literally. I should write them and tell them about Nowell's truck, lets have an even comparison.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Shane

where cool no problems here,

What we should do is have somebody from the magazine meet us at Sears Point when Nowell is running. That would be cool :D

HVAC, I don't know the guys from the magazine Bryan has the POC and made all the arrangments didn't he contact you when the guys was preparing the article ??? I know he contacted Chris but where is his article ??? what's up with that.

Scott

I know that he once gave Adam and I credit for getting him going on all this diesel power stuff:D

I noticed where he's lightening his PSD up a bit for racing. He took engine out! ;) :-laf

I found out last night that Bryan tried to turn them onto Nowell but that they said they only put 4 wheel drive articles in the Magazine, hence the name Peterson Four Wheel. I do recall Bryan saying that he might be working on getting them to do a Diesel drag strip article some day.

Scott,

The Dodge featured in that article is BigBadDodge, one of our very own TDR members. Another thing the article didn't elaborate on, was the Ford (Bryan Kinney, founder of Diesel-Central site) uses propane and nitrous to make that 500 HP, which Scott's Dodge made the 360 HP on #2 alone. Another interesting point not made, there are extremely few, if any, PowerStrokes in the U. S. that can even get to the 600 HP mark with all the drugs you can imagine, while 600HP Cummins' on #2 alone are cropping up all over :D

But, these guys in the media basically have never even heard of diesel before, so at least it's a start.

Tom

Its been a while since I've been over here posting but I thought I would try to clear the air on this, one because some of OUR members do not really understand what the hell is going on here.

1st off I do give thanks the HVAC and Adam, for if it wasn't for them I more then likely would have never have had an interest in the diesel world.

2. Tom thank you for your post It really is a feet to get a PSD to go over 500HP let a lone in the 600's which it has been there before several times.

3. to get a 8500lbs truck though the 1/4 mile under 14. 00 sec is also another feet in its self.

4. I have been working on the Mag guys for some time to give US Diesel guys Dodge,Ford and Chevy some press Because what I see in some of the trucks out there is pretty amazing and I think we would all agree.

5. I have spoken to several people atthe Mags about HVAC,Adams,Chris Sutton's,Cuminstrokin,BBD's and many others Dodge and Ford guy's truck and have been pushing hard to get us some press on it, It just will take time on that.

6. At the Nor Cal Both Prim Media and Buckaroo were there snapping off photo's for 2 days

7. BBD HVAC Adam Chris and a hell of a lot of others, We all live real close and do try to spend time helping others out.

8. As a matter of fact I do own (2) Dodge trucks

1 is the wife's 01 4x4 ext short box Blue

2 is my daily driver for now 02 02 4x4 long box

and no I'm not rich as got Smoke had motioned(no hard feelings dude on this) or well off as it was put but I sure would like to be :G I just like diesels. I'm not brand specific

patrobertson the one thing that boils me is that getting all the facts first is always a good thing, Please show me another PSD in the 600's except for Mad dogs that is a daily driver that gets 19 mph everyday. I could easily bomb the livin stick out of this Dodge but I think I would rather just keep this one stock and bomb the Miss' instead :G

Psycho

Calm down, I am not trying to flame you or your truck, it has nothing to do with you personally. Thankyou for your hard work in trying to get diesels more press coverage. This has nothing to do with the people, its just that any truck in these magz is a Ford, with a chip and what not, and everything else is cosmetic. I am sorry for stereotyping. I am orginally from the bay area and have a some friends that I believe have seen your truck and were quite Impressed.

Keep up the good work on getting diesels in these mags and sorry for the miscomunication / representation.

This is Shane Robertson, I am Pat's son so don't get mad at him he lives in the Bay Area and goes to the local TDR meetings and has met Nowel. He would get ticked at me if somehow I smeared his name. Thanks Psychostroker.

Shane

It's all cool I can't control the mags I just give them good trucks to put in

I'll continue to do that because I'm like most of us we want to see the good stuff hit the mags not just the trucks that look good we want trucks that also perform good too.

Like I said its cool thanks

Bryan

Excellent

Now I had a question for Psycho, did you switch from an automatic to a manual? Just trying to see if your the guy my friends saw.

Thanks

Shane
