I tried to buy from DSM several times. I called, told them what I wanted and they said they did not have that exact model in stock and hung up. No one ever called me back.

This happened in 1998, 2004 and 2005.

I purchased my 1998 truck in Missoula at a slightly cheaper price than DSM.

Others have had excellent treatment from them. When driving south on the Alaska Hyw. we always see lots of new vehicles heading north with DSM logos on the front.

As someone else mentioned above it is an impressive place. There are new Dodge pickups... ... ... . everywhere in that town.

Good luck.

Very interesting. That's quite odd based on everything else I have heard.

You weren't asking for custom truck were you? 7 speed manual, 6 doors, etc? :-laf

I am starting the DSM pricing search on a new 800 , 11 or a 12 4x4 and might be selling a low mileage 08 2wd longbed soon dave smith has been sending me some good numbers and the packages are what im looking for, have been talking to tony 800-635-8000 at ext 1476 ,will have my dealer crunch the numbers also to see who has the best pricing, but the pricing info has been really helpful towards a pending purchasing price decision.

Wow, I bought my 03 from DSM and special ordered it. Back at that time the window sticker was 41,000 and I got it for 33,100. I was very pleased with them and the order.

BTW, my local dealers in the area couldn't and wouldn't even try to compete with them. They were too busy sticking to the rich folk in the area who were willing to pay.

dsm

I bought my 02 from dsm about 6000 under local dealer ,who would not move price but a couple of hundred. DSM still keeps in contact !

When I pick up my 11 HO in 2 weeks it will be my 4th vehicle from them and brought my brother over 2 years ago to buy his Laramie. I don't even bother with the dealers in Seattle. We take Amtrak to Spokane stay at 1 of Dave Smith's hotels they have deals with get a free Breakfast in the morning then get picked up by 1 of there vans. Do the drive and paper work then take the free gondola ride to the top of silver mountain that includes lunch up there then it's back home on the full tank of diesel they put in. Well worth the $250 dollars it cost's the 4 of us to get over there and makes for a great family weekend.

I went through the whole Dave Smith deal, minus actual purchase. I wanted a new 09 Mega, 3500 SRW, G56, HAD to be Electric Blue. No dice. So I say I'd settle on black. They had one, exactly what I wanted. So I did the $500 deposit, and the following week I was going to get the financing lined out through my bank and get my 07 ready to trade.

Bottom line, the economy hit me then, I wasn't making I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER, and I just couldn't part with my 07. Called them up, said "look, change of heart, I apologize for wasting your time. Just right now isn't a good time to buy a new truck. " He said "hey, no problem. If I can ever help you in the future, don't hesitate to call. "

I'd probably buy from them. I just can't get rid of vehicles, guess I get attached. :D

My local dealer priced within a margin close enough that the savings from Dave Smith woulda been a tank of fuel

Hello RonD,

This is Ed West from Dave Smith Motors. You may have seen my name mentioned by several of my customers on the TDR blog. There are a few distinct advantages in ordering your new Dodge 3500 2WD from DSM. Not only are you going to receive the lowest pricing in the country, you are dealing with the largest Dodge truck dealer on the planet... 12 years running.

Yes, we have pull with the factory and our customer orders are given priority above our stock orders... which translates to you driving your new truck sooner than later. Feel free to give me a shout at the desk anytime so I can unpack in detail how we do business up here and why we are known for Hassle Free Pricing. 1-800-635-8000 ext 1488.

Picking up my 2011 HO crew cab dually 4x4 from DSM next weekend. Looking forward to the road trip. They beat the dealer I bought my last two trucks from by $4200. They did'nt have silver so I settled for white. I'm happy.

I got my truck from Dave Smith in May 2003. I special orderd to get the options and configuration I wanted. They offered dealer add on options like mud flaps, but I let them know I wasn't interested and I didn't consider them pushy on the subject.

I live near the Spokane airport and they routinely shuttle customers who fly in to pick up their trucks. I got a lift to the airport and then rode the Dave Smith shuttle with a guy who flew down from Alaska and a couple from somewhere I can't remember.

Dave Smith was much less expensive than anything I could get in Spokane or Coeur d'Alene.

If I ever have enough $$ to buy another truck, I'll probably do the same thing.

Thanks for all the comments, I have been talking to Ed West, were just waiting for the 2012 option and price sheet

My dealer had the 2012 ordering guide a couple of weeks ago, but no prices. I was glad to see that Dodge added the side seat airbags for 2012 HD's.

Me, and members of my family have been buying vehicles since 1995 from DSM. I have purchased other trucks and jeeps from local dealers and each time I questioned why didn't I just make the drive up to DSM. If you want to waste your time with haggling over the price and financing with your local dealer, then go for it. My record time in and out at DSM was 45 minutes. They are honest, fair and tell you straight up what kind of deal they can get for you. The last truck I purchased was a 2012 Ram 3500 Crew 4X4. I got 10k off sticker plus the factory rebates, and they gave me more for my trade than I had expected. I drove up on a Friday, and they had the truck setup with my 5th wheel hitch, bed liner, nurf bars, air bags and tinted windows by the time I left town on Saturday. They work hard to earn your business. I tell everyone I know to head to DSM. The previous posts are right about how they have the trucks lined up by color and package. DSM is like the Disneyland of trucks!
