Woof. Mega Woof. These puppies are so bright and increase your field of vision so much.

Instead of installing my lights in place of the fog lights, I put them in the rectangular cut outs in the bumper and mounted them as far forward as I could to allow the greatest range of motion. I then focused them right below where my new 9004's focus. I can see so much more now.

If you guys want a good lighting solution, spend the $120 on the group purchase and install these puppies!

How/where (position) did you mount them? I'm still debating where I should put mine. I made brackets for the OEM mounting holes but havn't put them in yet. Glad you like them though. Thanks in advance

I mounted them in the front bumper in the cutouts next to the fog lights. I decided I wanted to keep the fog lights as it gets foggy in Colorado.

why did you make brackets for the holes? Are you talking about the round holes? I used the rectangular holes and I didn't have to use any custom bracket.

I'll take a pic tonight and put a link so you all can see.

Mine didn't come with stock fogs so I had to make something to mount them up with to fit in the original holes. To bad you can't buy just the bracket. My question should have asked "What" not "where" did you bolt them to.

Azcummins - Glad to hear that you like the lights. I too have a set of CATZ MSC foglights and love them things. As you said... boy are them things bright. My only complaint is that I put them in the factory fog light hole, and they don't seem to shine out in front of me like I would like them too. So I then installed a set of MSX's in the rectangular cut out. Now them lights are EXTREMELY bright. I can hardly use them because oncoming traffic just can't see anything when I have those lights on. ha ha ha

What's really funny is that when I turn on my MSX lights, I can actually turn off my headlights. . cause the MSX's actually out shine my headlights. Pretty good for itty bitty lights... LOL, Besides that Cherie is awesome to deal with.

If anyone is interested in the CATZ lights, shoot me and e-mail and I will get you in contact with Cherie.

Here is the pic of the lights so you all can see where I mounted them.

the lights come with a metal bracket and self-taping screws that you can use to mount the lights.

PIAA makes a bracket to mount lights in the factory round holes. I haven't purchased one yet to check it out. I think the part number is 30195 or 30190 and it can be special ordered from Puma for $25. If anybody is interested for the part number and phone number for Puma, I'll get the info and post again, or email me if you want.

If you have the factory fogs, the CATZ lights will fit using the factory mounts! Have any questions, email me and I will send you directions.

The PIAA bracket can be used if you don't have factory fogs. This way you can get a set of CATZ lights, that everybody seems to like very well, and you don't have to dink around fabricating a bracket for the lights to mount in the round cutouts.

JR2,
I was thinking about mounting some rectangular lights I have in the grill. My only concern is the weight of the light flexing the grill at higher speeds. I guess when it warms up around here (no garage) I'll have to look a little more in to this. Otherwise they will probably end up in the square part of the bumper.

A pair of 5" aircraft landing lights would work great behind there. I would not even cut the grill, just let them shine through it. I don't think they would melt the grill, as long as you kept moving #ad

I got a set of those mounted on the brushguard of my truck. They will put anything else out there to shame. The only drawback is that they aren't exactly legal. They do get awful hot though. Not sure if they would melt anything.

Has any one tried out the PIAA brackets from Puma that Cooker mentioned? I just ordered my Catz MSCs today and would rather not fabricate my own brackets. Thanks for the help.

Gene,
The gentleman I spoke with at Puma said if the kit doesn't work to mount the lights in the factory holes, they could be returned no problem. What have you got to lose?

Cooker,

I just ordered the PIAA outer light mounting brackets from PUMA. He doesn't stock it, he will include it with his stocking order monday. I hope to have them in a week to 10 days. I got my CATZ lights yesterday. I'll let you know if they work out.

I've used the PIAA brackets. I ordered them several years ago and they came with two sets of brackets then. One for the round holes and a set for the rectangle holes. I used the round ones on a friends mounting 9004's and the others on mine for 1500XT's. Worked very nice.

Gene,
I found a pic of the 30195, email me if you'd like it. It looks like they should work out just fine.

The mounts from PIAA for the square holes, 30190, are around $70. IMO that seems pretty expensive. Can you explain them a little for us. BTW I see you are relatively new here, welcome.

Thanks, Ryan

Wow,that is proud. My friend paid for them and gave me the leftovers if I would do the install. They mount to the bumper bracket bolt and are very stiff. (no light vibration)I've trimmed mine for my application but I think they had three different mounting slots for a variety of lights and were finished nicely. I just ran out and took a picture but not sure how much help it is #ad
