On my 95 I had a throttle cable fall off about 3+ years ago. I went to our local Dodge dealer and bought the updated part and installed it in my own repair shop. Now this year Chrysler sends me a recall notice, they will replace the offending cable free of charge. And they go on to say if the repairs have been done already they will reimburse me for the parts and 1. 5 hr labor. . So I send the parts bill and my shop bill to Mopar.
They refuse to pay my labor. The explanation is if you do your own work NO PAYMENT FOR LABOR!! Now I have a business licence and a real repair shop, should my "real shop" be paid for the repairs? DMC says no.
P. S. My shop rate is about 1/2 of in town rate.
