I recently traveled across I-90 loaded heavy bucking the wind and found myself with my foot buried in the rug for extended periods. I've noticed that I can actually accelerate better holding back on the pedal just a little bit. I usually held it to the floor untill the rpm's dropped to just a hare under 2000 then let off so the auto doesn't downshift. After hours of doing this i've come to the conclusion it makes better power there as well. That last little bit makes the motor make alot of different sounds as well... ? Maybe my non mod motor dumps boost when at WOT, but not just below.

I Have Noticed The Same Thing With My 3 Nd Genaration , Don T Know Why But It Does , And I Have A Few Upgrades Including A Turbo Coming Sometime This Week,

Mine is the same way - I just step into it just enough to get the power level I need rather than stuffing it to the floor. The bigger Cummins engines were always that way too. You may get a bit more power by putting the pedal way down, but as a rule the amount of added power is insignificant.

Oh, and keeping your foot out of it is also the best way to increase your fuel mileage when towing, too.
