GTDR and GDOA Meeting for February

Muncie or May Madness

Matt, what did he say? Did he offer a discounted rate? BTW, there is a minimum wattage operation requirement with the FCC, so we are on as soon as I find an FM transmitter kit to rent.

I think the total came to like $220 or something for 3 nights... . I couldn't determine if he said $65 or $69 per night... . I'm guessing it was $69/night.

He was mumbling and talking really fast. All I really wanted to hear was the confirmation number and the dates - June 4, 5, 6...

That's good news about the FM deal - let me know if I can help out... . Hopefully we will be able to broadcast TiM '04... that'll be sweet!

Matt

I called Gorilla last night and told him about it,hopefully he researved the room for us. If not we just might end up bringing the North East Chapters party tentOo.

Oo. WOOOOOOOO

Rooms set,We'll see ya'll there. Just lok for my rig,the two travel coolers will be full... ... ... ... ... . just dont touch my Michelob

Got my room

When I told the lady what days I wanted, she immediately said "Thunder in Muncie?" to which I replyed... "Why yes, you must be getting a few calls for that weekend?" "Oh yeah," she said, "quite a few just today, it sounds like it will be fun. "

She has no idea:D

room prices

  everybody check your room prices at lees inn. i called to check mine after some guys were getting them for 69. 00, mine was 79. 00 but the girl changed it for me. she said that she had told people 89. 00 tonite by mistake. she said to tell anyone i talk to to call back in if they did not get the 69. 00 price.

Yeah, they quoted me $94 a nite first call

thanks to holeshot for listing the price and pm'ing me promptly ...

saved me 25$ a night ... looks like i owe you a 6 pack of your favorite barley pop:D

I met with the Regency (right behind Lees Inn) today. Here is what we are cooking:

Friday Kick-off party:

All you can eat Texas Roadhouse and three drink tickets for around $30 ea (that's our goal), kids under 12 are free. Then he is going to discount the drinks for the rest of the evening. DJ with some music and Texas Roadhouse servers at your beckon call. The menu is looking like Chicken, BBQ ribs and Steak (the owner of TRH has asked me to mention that they will do their best to make them taste as good as they do in the restaurant, but since they don't have the same cooking surface, he can only guarantee they will be the same meat) two hot sides (mashed potatos, veggie of some sort, beans maybe) rolls and a barrel or two of the peanuts!!!!

Now, here is the kicker:

If you have plans on arriving Thursday, let me know, he will open up the bar just for us.

Saturday at 9:00 he will open up with finger foods or pizza for sale and the bar with a DJ for us only.

Sounding good? I love it!

Whew, good thing. I was wondering how I was going to afford to feed my g/f while up there.

(Edit:,, Just for you Sleddy ;) )

So, what time will it start? It takes 9 hours, give or take to get there. Looks like I'll be getting up EARLY!

This may sound stupid, but since I don't know everybody personally, how will I know who is who?(as far as TDR?)

I guess I can't help but run into somebody, since I'm staying at Lee's.

Steve

Eric, I'll be there thursday afternoon.

Steve, no chance of missing anyone at Lee's (or anywhere else for that matter) trucks and trailers everywhere. :D

Rob

yeah i though so too Steve ... right now it's gonna be me, two freinds and their cummins' and the wife maybe, if i can convice her to take her new truck ... a four truck convoy

anyone in the mood to meet along the way 77n to 70w give me a pm:cool:

I think some guys from school are coming, I might have to ride in (god forbid)my buddy's PSD :( Since my truck is reg cab, and the old Gutbag might not stand the trip. You know how it would be driven at Muncie:-laf I REALLY want to drive it, but I would have lots more to spend on goodies and such. Maybe the trans will get rebuilt, since we're taking Transmissions this semester.

Thanks, Steve
