I bought a Walmart battery once. After a year it developed a bad cell. I took it to 3 different Walmart stores to get warranty. All 3 denied it. They all said it just needed a charge. After being charged at each store it showed 12. 5 volts but only 400 amps on a 550 amp battery. I learned my lesson and have bought nothing but Deka thereafter.

I bought the OEM from the dealer. They were about the same price, maybe slightly more than what I priced at the auto store. And they come with a 2 year warranty

I second the dealer. Within $10 each of Interstate batteries and 3 yr 36 month free replacement, jump start, and prorated after that. Mine were filled in August and installed in September. Can't beat that. They are not cheap however no matter where you get them.

I just replaced my original batteries (6 yrs. old) yesterday with AutoCraft Platinum AGM's from Advance Auto.

After 6 years, almost to the day, I replaced both in the 12' Laramie. They had been getting a little weak the last couple of months.
I went with the Odyssey 94R-850's. These are an H7 AGM. Extremely thin 100% pure lead plates allowing more plates and more power. 850 CCA's Also they weigh around 58 lbs each due to the extra pure lead plates.
These are also direct fit/replacements so all the cabling and the factory battery blankets fit perfectly.
The reviews on them is outstanding and appear to be superior to just about everything I researched, including Optima.

Get the 94R from somewhere you can get them replaced under warranty out on the road if needed. I have bought batteries online before, but if they go south you are basically on your own, worth the extra price to walk into a building to pick them up, right now I am running NAPA AMG 94R made by DEKA, hope they last longer than the Exides did, remember, replace in pairs.

I have had good luck with previous trucks, and my present fifth wheel with the Kirkland brand from Costco. Just wondering what they have to offer for these Rams. It sure wouldn't hurt to see what they have, price, warranty etc . It will be my first place to check when the time comes .

Just replaced my 8 year old Car Quest with Napa (Deca)

I have had much better service out of Johnson Controls (Interstate-Walmart-others) batteries than anything else. Two Wally World yellow tops went 9 + 10 years. A friend recently had a Wally World Saudi Arabian made Johnson Controls battery for a little Cadillac SUV faint at about 3 1/2 years. My sig truck got 7 yrs on originals (good when I replaced them, but a trip in winter was looming and didn't want any technical difficulties in bad conditions away from home) and the next Interstates went 7 years with no maintenance except for post-cable cleaning and smearing with Vaseline every couple of years. Replaced again at 7 years with Interstates before they got weak and put extra wear on the starter. Johnson Controls have given excellent service in my '98 62 hp Ford New Holland 5030 with no winter trickle charging. I don't even consider other brands anymore.

Costco 42 month warranty. Just went through this last week. Costco sells interstate @ reasonable prices.

What is a reasonable price for these Ram batteries, been awhile since I bought a truck battery , never an AGM , other then for a boat

They go for about $200 each. Sometimes the dealer has a discount/rebate that will make it cheaper.

Thanks . After asking got on the Costco website, for a 2014 Ram 3500 the battery is 143.99 for a H7 ( 94R ) Interstate battery , looks like that’s where I’m headed when the time comes
