where to buy 4" remote pacbrake on west coast

Some interesting data (tests) on air filters

I would like to know how long ago the first few twin turbo setups were built, and who started it in the Dodge Cummins trucks. I know they have been used in tractors for quite a while. I'm curious to see how long it's going to take to go from the first couple of setups to a full fledged made off shore type product.

Ron, I think you will see most of the east coast guys step in here and say Dave Mitchell, then Nowell Thomas (HVAC) for the west coast the Jeff Prince for the south, that was back when everyone did the exhaust one turbo into another then guys like Pias Bell steped in and did the divorced wastegate design.

I rememer back in 79' and early 80's when I saw my first Twin Turbo'd tractor pull in Wichita Falls TX. and fell in love with it, of course I was on the 4020 doing my impression of a pull the next day with a plow as a sled :D Man those guys were held at 3800 RPM in 79', now days that when they start to spool.

I'd like to narrow the date down to a six month period if possible. I will send a letter to them and see if they remember about when it started. I have been watching trends in manufacturing for a while. I like to follow an interesting idea from beginning to mainstream. Mainstream now means offshore mfg of components.

February of 2001 was my first home built set. I believe Dave Mitchell was working on a set at that same time or already had some done.

On edit: I remember the 1999 TDR Nationals a black truck with twins and ran a 14 second 1/4.

At least 2 years before that, Bruce Mallison , Diesel Injection of Pittsburgh, was talking about somebody working on a set down south. You may want to contact him, get details.

I would bet money, in 1989, some farmer type, threw twins on his brand new First Gen.

Hehehe!! A lurking Hilljack adds his 2 cents:

"

"New does not rhyme with KTA for a reason. LOL

98 was the first time I physically saw a set of twins on a 5. 9 although I heard rumors of ________ fooling with some in 97 and a guy in Arkansas had a 5. 9 in a white pulling tractor in 95 with twins does that count?? ... ... ..... "

Some information withheld to protect the secretive!hehhehehehe!
