Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) timing pin

Is the timing pin under the pump the pin you use to get TDC or do u have to pull that one out and install a actually cummins timing pin tool?

The timing pin is the pin that is under the pump. don't try to pull it out, it will break. once engaged, pull it back out so you don't forget about it. and don't use it to stop the engine from turning it will break.
