I am considering a tire/wheel package from a place such as 4wheel parts wholesalers, etc. I have a 1999 2500 QC 5spd 4x4. Has anyone ordered a package and had it delivered to your door? Are they already balanced, etc where you could just put them on? Also, what backspacing do you specify for the 1999's? Thanks

I have a 99 quadcab 4x4 and you can not change the back spacing on the rims if you want to keep the waight rating on them. I bought welds 16. 5x9. 75s and put 33x12. 50x16. 5 on them and they would not even let you change the back spacing. they split it right down the middle.

I am also pretty sure that if you order one of the packages that they come mounted and balanced.

Good luck

4 wheel parts

I have had good and bad the first set of tires I got one of the tires was bad and would not balance, but they sent anyway so I had to get it replaced. The Next set went Fine just bolt it up!!

but, I would look into Les Schwab if you can there

great I will buy from them from now on!!

I ordered a set of tires and wheels from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers and was tickled. I'm in NC and they shipped them here mounted and balanced shrink-wrapped on a pallet with lug nuts and center caps cheaper than anyone local could sell them. My advice is: if you get aluminum wheels, get the center caps that match your wheels, not a chrome substitute-they rust, and get some McGuard lug nuts--they're expensive, but don't rust. Be sure to set the lug nuts at the correct torque-135 ft-lb in '97. Drive the truck 20 miles or so and retorque them to avoid breaking off 2 studs like I did. For some reason, I have found out, aluminum wheels have to seat themselves for a few miles, then no longer need repeated tightening.

NTW

I just ordered tires and wheel today from NTW. I ordered BFG mud KM in 255/85R16 on M/T Classics 16X7. I plan on running my stock centers.

I'll have them in five days (I hope)
