This new 2019 3500 fuel tank drives me nuts. My 06' would take close near 33 gallons of fuel once the low fuel message appeared.. Now with my new 19', once the low fuel message appears I can only get 26 gallons in the tank. I don't let it get down past a 1/4 of a tank so....... I'm finding myself fueling up every 10 days or less. On my 06', when the fuel gauge was on empty the tank was empty, On the 19'.... When the gauge hit's empty there's still close near 6 gallons in the tank. I'm figuring they changed it due to the CP4 pump... you don't want to run the CP4 dry nor with hot fuel. So now I'm about to pull the trigger and order a 50gal Titan fuel tank.... DPP Diesel has them for $1215.00 with free shipping. I see a few of you have the Titan tanks as seen in your signatures. Just curious if I should do anything else to make anything "better" while swapping tanks. I don't care about DTE calculations being off... As long as the gauge represents the actual fuel level I'm good. Should I get the tank shield also?
