I was checking out some tires again. I came acrossed some American Liberators a/t.

Only down fall is they are rated low for handiling heat. The tire has a 3300 lbs capacity. Just wondering if any one is running on these?

I was ready to try some Coopers, but found out that I'm "in-between" distribution areas. IOW nobody delivers Coopers to my tire shop because he's too far EAST/WEST. Silly

Whatever I get I'm sticking with E load range and white smoke with black marks:p :D

I'm seriously considering the Cooper Discoverer S/T's for my 2WD. I need something with some bite in the snow. I'll go all four corners so I can rotate them. More of a 4x4 tire but not too "luggy".

I also saw some good lookin tires at Rural King. They were Trailmark Radial DT's. Great looking tread with two nice straight water channels. Again obviously a 4x4 tire tread but looked like it would be fine for a 2WD also.

Both had stud holes molded in and were load range E. I'm considering some chains for the winter too. My 2WD flat out sucks without good tread and serious weight in the bed. I'm running an open diff so I need all the help I can get. Heck... my worn out General Grabbers will spin in the front yard on dew covered grass.

I've never seen the American Liberators in any stores. I have seen them on trucks on the road. Dont know where they get them.
