I cannot understand going to a dealer for a bearing. Why not a bearing supply? I have NEVER failed to get a needed bearing from sources such as Beariing Engineering. They are one of many.
Worst case I had was a transom bearing for a boat with an I/O. Boat dealer wanted $105. One bearing house played stupid. Another looked and said 'Oh, a boat bearing' went into the back and came out 2 min later with an identical match. $40.

Rjones,
Try putting a valet switch in. We have almost the same setup, except mine's a 5-speed, and running in valet mode, my EGT's won't hit 1000 at WOT, (empty), but they'll go up real quick in normal mode. Cuts way down on the smoke, too. Haven't tried it with a load, yet.
