Picked my truck up and 46 miles later everything is great! They even washed and detailed her! I’ll put another 50 miles on before I hook onto the RV and head for Virginia!

My comment was referring to that even if they left the connector, you can’t put the old SCR back on, reinstall the front NOx sensor, and restore the truck to the way it was before the recall. The PCM will not allow reinstalation of the old software program. So I see no advantage to having the connector left in the wire harness as TCdiesel states. As far as I know my truck was also castrated. ☺️

You seem to be the lone wolf here on this recall, well you and that other guy , it was pretty straight forward once the parts came available , into shop and out . I guess my blind faith payed off

I knew very little about the recall , I did read the recall procedure and the harness removal . I checked to see where the harness was and checked after it was done ,to see where it had been removed , and also the new SCR. That’s about it , no problems

According to the work order, they replaced #1 NOx sensor part number 68210084AA which is the front NOx sesnor located in the turbo exhaust elbow. Wasn’t even touched during the recall. Apparently it was what was causing the P2001 code that just happens to set the same code as the T05 recall called out. 84 miles and everything seems fine. I’ll be pulling the DRV 300 miles tomorrow as a good retest.

Good to hear, good luck with it

Gotta trust the trained techs , I was told it was stupid, but it worked out for us so far, lucky I guess :D

Over 800 miles now and everything seems good. Did have to reseat the air intake tube between the air filter box and the turbo inlet. They left a hose clamp loose. While doing that, I discovered only one screw holding the heatshield for the sensor they replaced. I’ll get that taken care of myself. No one fixes my truck like I do......
