My comment was referring to that even if they left the connector, you can’t put the old SCR back on, reinstall the front NOx sensor, and restore the truck to the way it was before the recall. The PCM will not allow reinstalation of the old software program. So I see no advantage to having the connector left in the wire harness as TCdiesel states. As far as I know my truck was also castrated.![]()
Picked my truck up and 46 miles later everything is great! They even washed and detailed her! I’ll put another 50 miles on before I hook onto the RV and head for Virginia!
According to the work order, they replaced #1 NOx sensor part number 68210084AA which is the front NOx sesnor located in the turbo exhaust elbow. Wast even touched during the recall. Apparently it was what was causing the P2001 code that just happens to set the same code as the T05 recall called out. 84 miles and everything seems fine. I’ll be pulling the DRV 300 miles tomorrow as a good retest.
