Here's some pics of my 12v smoked #6 piston.

Caused by the head gasket material seen below. There was gasket in the #2, 4, 5, and 6 piston cooling nozzles.

Long story short, blew the head gasket with nitrous and too much timing, got it back together, ran for 500 miles until I was chasing a Ford Focus  :-laf . Started knocking, then shaking real bad. Still ran, but was obviously running on 5 cylinders. Get her home, pull the head; son of a %^@#*!

Rebuild time... ...

Now it'll be ready for real fun Oo.

wow, first of all why waste the time with a for focus. lol. is the block ok?

That looks suprisingly like the #6 out of my buddy PistonSlappers truck:

#ad

His block was FAR FAR FAR from alright.

Motor has since been rebuilt and is scary fast.

I belong to this same club. It happened to me also I had blown the head gasket . I had just put a new turbo on and was testing performance when just like you said KNOCK KNOCK lots of smoke. I keep my #6 piston in my garage for keep sake. Had to have block bored to clean up cylinders.

I imagine you'll want to keep that piston as a keepsake, but if you plan on replacing the whole set I'd be interested in working out something with you on one of the remaining 5.
