I got passanger side airbag switch installed this week in houston. i have got to know one of the techs. at Allen Samules Dodge over the past few months of working out of our Houston office. and asked him about putting in a switch for my truck and he had to ask his service manager. who told us if a kit was offered it was not a problem. so off to the parts counter we were and got the switch but had to order the bezel. the guy at the parts counter didi not know if the wires were there but when we pulled open the dash they were attached to a dummy plug on the blank bezel. just plug and tell the ecm to reconize the switch and off to lunch we went.

the bezel will be in on tuesday

yeh I saw the wires on mine the other day. They plug into a plastic clip where the airbag switch would normally be. I thought about doing the same thing as you.

The Switch Is Located To The Right Of The Ac Radio Panele Below The Ac Vent



And For The Guy Asking About My Truck It Is A Four Door

Does the on off air bag switch need a different key or will any key work.

The switch can take any key that has the profile of the Dodge key. Not the profile after being cut but of the blank itself, if you look at the key from the pointy end, that profile. After playing with the one I'm going to install in my QC, it looks like a screw driver would be able to turn it on and off.

I just got my new swith and bezel for the Pass air bag. The bezel part number is 5HD08WL5AA which is for the Toape color. 5HD08XDVAA is for the dark Charcol color. The switch is part number 56045496AA.

How much were these parts? Did the dealerships charge you to turn on the switch?

i think i paid 54. 00 for them and no i didn't have to pay to have it turned on as i have become friends with one of the tech's
