Fast as it would go.

PE COMP and DD1's I was close to redline anyway so the ECM cut fuel back. Boost was about 25-30#,, EGT (not accurate) was around 950* and F. P. was 6#

I tried going faster,, but, no go. I had the pedal all the way down for about 10-20 miles,, but then "slowed down" to about 90-95 as the motor was under less load and RPM.

My 3500 with Fiberglass top (camper) is extremely stable in the triple digit speeds. It is the most stable vehicle I have driven at those speeds.

The only thing I was afraid of, was either a tire failure, or melting the front wheel bearings.

P. S. For that trip I went 62 miles in 42 minutes,, that's an +80MPH avg. speed.

120mph when it was all stock 120 after mods still room to go faster but this time I have taller tires went form 245 to 265 size so whats the true speed 123. 5mph 124mph ?

Max speed on mine is 118mph. Totally stock truck topped at 118. BOMBed truck: 118. I can feel it defuel noticeably above 112-115 after adding DD2s, like there is a speed limiter. I should be able to do 122 before redline with 6-speed and 3. 54 with 265 tires. I did 115 in a 60 zone the other night when I was dusting off one of those annoying little Honda jobs. He kept up OK from 75-90 but after that he had no chance

Stock my truck would go about 112 but it took time to get there. Modified I went 120 and it didn't take too long to get there. Rpm was near redline so I think that's as fast as our CTD's will run unless changing the gearing.

With a 2001 HO 6 speed with 3. 54s and a gear vendor overdrive, at 100 MPH the RPM is at 2125 thats just one mark after 2000. Max speed on mine was 115, I could difinetly feel it defuel. Ive just snipped the speed limiter wire (white wire with orange stripe) that runs across the motor by the fire wall. I have not ran it by 115 yet. 2500 RPM would be about 145

Ive had mine to an indicated 106,stock was 245/75/16. which works out to about 112 mph. I have 285/75/16 tires. With 4. 10's it is at 3300 RPm's at that speed, and wont go any faster.

I have had mine to an indicated 120, but I have gone from 245's to 285's so I would guess that the actual was about 126-128. It DOES NOT handle well at anything over about 90. It starts to get light and it only gets worse over 90, at 110 it is scary. I had almost 3300 on the tach at 120 indicated. Like the others mine will get to about 105 in a hurry, then it takes a while to get much faster.

120 before and after mods. Just a little quicker after. I don't think you'll get much faster without some kind of aftermarket O. D. Mine seems tach'd out at that speed. But rides and handles just as smooth at 120 as it does at 60. Doug
