I think I might like one on my 2022 3500 I put factory tow hooks on my 1999 so I kind of understand how this all works and goes up in there between the frame rails etc. but do I lose my factory tot hooks. I would imagine I do . also what about the air dam is it cut or removed all together. They will ship in lower 48 how to get one to Alaska is another issue. I want to put a Curtiss fold up carry basket on when I have my camper on and no trailer. To put my Honda 2000 and 3 gallon gas can. Company is in Kent Washington. If I go down the Stewart -Cassiar Highway I will be close. Make a appoint for a install etc.

What is the benefit of having a front receiver hitch? Will the front end support the weight of my toy hauler?

Benefits are endless... I carried bikes, fishing coolers, gear, totes, etc.. Most front receivers have a similar load rating to all class 3 rear hitches.. If I remember correctly the one I had on my 04 was 500#. I plan to put one on, the same one John linked, just need the time.

I primarily use mine for a basket winch but have used it for other things in the past.

I've moved trailers with tongue weights over 1,000 lbs without issue. It's usually for just a few feet and there aren't any dynamic road forces.

Look close at my signature picture-12 foot rowboat on boat rack over cab extends over hood to vertical post in my 2" front receiver. Slick setup if you want to take a boat along on your camping trips. Will handle up to 14 foot boats, kayaks, SUP, etc. https://4boysmfg.com
You keep your towhooks too, just need longer bolts to put them back on.

That’s good to know about the longer bolts to keep the tow hook. Did they come with the hitch. I see that the air dam and fascia. Need to be cut . The hitch comes out about right at the front license plate .
what to do with the license plate. Think I need one in Alaska

The 19-22 doesn't mount like the 13-18 and won't use the tow hook bolts or location.... which does mean it's lower, but oh well.

The etrailer guys can tell you about the tow hooks but pretty sure they stay put on your new truck. Etrailer has great customer service, that's where I bought my hitch and I have used them for several other things too.

Your sig says you gave a different year truck and the front hitches are not the same. Tow hooks are not touched with the 19+ install.

I got it all figured out. Thanks for the help . Honda gen and 3 gallon tank plus 1 on the generator will give it a long run time and easy to fill at the gas pump.

So front 2 inch receiver hitch is ordered. Now I’m shopping for a cargo basket. Steel or aluminum folding or not. I want to haul my Honda generator up front and a 3 gallon extended run tank. Should give me some good run time and easy fill up at the pump. Cable or chain lock and locking hitch pin. Thinking about 50 inch long by 22 wide basket.

I use to carry my Honda 2200 w/ a 6 gallon tank up front (torklift genset cage), but found having in the rear under the camper is muck more easier to manage. Plus, I can haul my bikes up front now.

Yes I’m looking at the TorkLift 24 by 27 lock and load Rather speedy but if the quality is there I want to carry a extended tank beside the Honda. I have a 3 gallon but I see you used a 6 gallon. Lots of run time with 7 gallons. Sir sticks out a long ways in your photo
