I posted an earlier problem, but I didn't quite make myself clear, so I will rephrase the problem. I have a '96 with the 47re auto, with 37,000mi. and it was rebuilt by the dealer at 33,000 including a new stock TC. Since then, when going down the highway if you touch the brake or let off the accelerator abruptly, it disengages as it should, but then refuses to relock the TC. Overdrive works fine. With OD off, (not able to engage) the TC refuses to lock in 3rd. The only mods to the trans was the line pressure which Bill K. recommended and it shifts fine. The TC thru the normal shift sequence locks up at approx. 32mph. The service manual says it should lock up after OD... does anyone elses TC lock up AFTER OD? Any suggestions on this problematic trans? Thanks for the help.
