There must be something with the electronics causing it because I have never had oine that would drop lockup like that without it being a TC problem.

Functionally, if you tapped the lockup sense wire there is no way for the lockup to drop unless the power is being dropped thru the trans relay.

My lockup switch wouldn't work correctly until I put the relay back in and added the resistor.

You're kind of mixing two different solutions for two different problems. Grounding the Apps wire is to get rid of the noise that causes the TC to lock and unlock on its own. When you flip the lock up switch it'll be locked (when it's wired correctly).

Is the relay back in and the resistor in the ckt? I know that was the only way my switch worked correctly.

it could be the lockup soliniod in the transmission???

No. They are either on or off not intermittent like you said. I have yet to see one that work sintermittently. Usually when they go bad they go all bad.

I think you need to rewire it like I said with the resistor. I think the PCM is not liking the short to ground.

ill have to check it out... ive worked crazy today so wont hava chance to even loko at it lol but thank you all for input ill b sure to let you know what i find :)

Vols fan. What is the purpose of the wire grounding? I have had the 40-50 mph lock, unlock symptom in hot weather. Seems to have stopped with the tinfoil trick.

well been awhile but i got bak lol never touched anything lol batteries went dead and when i get batteries charged up ive been driving truck for a month now and switch works fine so hard telling not knowing. but im happy
