This would be a lot more fun with driveway beers!

Aftermarket tuners can make the EB memory hold on shutdown. I need to look and see if AlfaOBD can do it, but I don’t recall seeing it.

I have not provided my $0.02 on this matter until now. Another vote for EFILive from me. That tuner can initiate the EB upon start up, my youngers son's 2013.5 truck upon start up turns the EB on.

I can turn the HVAC up or down and change radio stations with a voice command, why didn't they include TH and EB in voice commands?

Don't tell me you're a bud light guy?

NOOOOO WAYYYYYY

For one I don't drink beer in a can! I like Stella for a lighter refreshing beer, Negra Modelo with a Lime for a light dark beer also a good Hefeweizen, like Pyramid on Tap with a lemon. Nice cold Blue Moon on tap with a slice of orange. So I do like a wide range of beers, just no how no way IPA'a.

IPA's the aftertaste is like when I was a kid and was forced to eat a nasty Grapefruit or after I just puked my guts out. It makes ya want to take a serrated butter knife and scrape that GAWD AWFUL taste off your tongue.

I use the EB all the time but reserve the TH for when I’m actually towing so I can keep up with the total miles towing. Other than that I don’t think it makes any difference. Do it which ever way you like, I don’t have an opinion one way or the other.

How does your truck track miles in TH?

Mine only tracks miles with a trailer that has brakes connected.

Okay, I may as well join the “Fray”.
Here’s my take...

I live in a “hilly” part of the country. I rarely tow my 15,300 lb 5th wheel and run empty most of the time. I still typically run TH and EB as soon as I get into my truck and start it.

I love the EB in these trucks. It’s the best EB of the “Big 3” trucks. I love that I can come down off a mountain and not touch my brakes almost all the way down. That’s my love for EB with TH other than the fact that the added bonus is it saves your service brakes and I’ve heard helps keep your turbo clean and helps the truck warm up faster in lower temps.

If for some reason I haven’t activated TH, I instantly recognize it as soon as I start into a grade. Revs are too low and I notice lugging and low RPM right away. Hit the TH button and instantly brings my revs up about 5 RPM by downshifting into higher gear. Truck is much happier pulling a grade in this mode. No lugging at all. Always finds the right gear for climbing.

These things mean more to me than fuel economy and lugging my truck around.

Just one man’s take and opinion.

I think someone mentioned previously that TH could easily be retagged as sport mode. Staying in gear longer and stronger shifts. I think like anything else that can be turned on and off, it's all driver preference.

Have fun, Ron

Driver's preference is the operative phrase, and I hope it remains that way. TFL was interviewing a couple Jeep engineers, and asked why the Gladiator doesn't have a T/H button, despite it's pretty reasonable tow rating. Their response was the computer can tell. I imagine it can, but please, please, no more nanny devices.

Thank you, but its just my "4 door grocery getter" :D
To stay within the theme of the thread, I have had her on a trailer (though it is a daily driver) and I use Tow/haul. I like the way it shifts when towing, even light.
