Slide-In Camper question

Trailer brakes sticking?

This guy was sitting half way up the off ramp during the begining of peak traffic in a lifted F150 with 38's. Hazards on so I pull over to offer a tow:D Lost his transmission he thinks. Nice enough guy so away we go to the parking lot 1/4 mile away. We're almost there when I see his rear wheel fall off:--) I stop and sure enough the studs had sheared off. We talk for a moment and then away we go. I drug him into a stall and that was that. Just seems like a bad day to me. Really took the joy out of towing him when that wheel came off.

Guess I gotta fess up. . . still running the F350 PSD, trying to get enough ahead to get the OTRPU outta hoc at my Angola DOC Dave's Diesel. Anyway, running MT south through BC, Canada got hit with a big heavy wet snow. Shorten a long story, I drove it into the ditch. Snow plow was in sight when it happened. He radioed a bud with a Class 8 something or other. Behemouth slapped a railroad chain hook on my hitch ball and snatched me right outta that ditch. Being brighter than a brick I decided to jump off first resort pull out I came accross. Slept till morning, fact dropped off with the thing running on high idle. Like to burnt a half tank of fuel. Not a happy camper when I discovered this. . . saw fuel prices of 99 cents a litre up there. Guess I won't complain about $1. 80US anymore. Drop in Mesa, AZ in the morning, imagine Rialto, CA for next load going I know not where.

Cheers,

Steve J.

About a month ago my brother's '99 F-250 spit a spark plug out of the V-10. He was down in Topeka Kansas stationed at the air base for the week and didn't want to drive it back in that condition. Don't blame him a bit. When I said I could come and haul him back to Sioux City, he kidded something about having to have a Dodge haul his Ford home. I told him he could ride in his truck on the trailer if it made him feel better. :p I come from a long line of Ford owners, (I have owned 5 myself) so I took a little s*** for buying a Dodge. Paybacks can be fun sometimes:D . To make him feel a little better, I told him he had first dibs hauling mine to the shop when it puked the transmission out:) .
