Questions about filling tires with CO2.

Ok, so I'm building my truck, and originally I wanted to go with twins mach 7's a transmission with full billet and all of that stuff, it would be a lot of fun, a fast drag racer, cost a lot of money and I'm sure I'd hook it up to a sled and break something. So I decided to go a different route, limit myself to mach 3's max. and make a truck that I can still tow with, and have a powerful reliable truck. What are you guys using as a towing turbo. Twins, Hx40, Dodgzilla, USB, WSB, b1, killer b2, all of the above. Yeah i'm just curious what my best bet would be.

Thanks, Sean

DodgeZilla?

Shoot Bob Wagner a PM. I think he's running Mach 3's or 4's, A CaTCHer, & a Dodzilla. I know he tows a 5er.

sstockton, I don't want to changing your thought on adding more power but over the last few years with each and every horse power increase I have added, Some driveability is lost and ease of towing a heavy load is also lost. Back when I got my new truck it was a daily driver, 3 years later I am using it to pull a much bigger boat and a tractor that I didn't have before. I wouldn't suggest a 450hp truck for a daily tow truck unless it was a class 8 truck. When I do all over again with my next truck It won't make this much hp.

did I mention how much fun my truck is to drive :)

Chris, coming from someone who has been down the same road as you (more than once). Twins are the only way to go to have anything close to having the best of both worlds. Plenty of HP for towing and racing and absolutely no EGT problems.

I start to panic when i see 1250 towing 10K behind me. I used to run up 1800 in a heartbeat.

I tried the Killer B2 as a single for a while and though it got a little warm on the bottom it wasn't too difficult to tow with it. Now I've moved it up and put an S400 under it in my twins setup and I don't hardly have to look at the pyro when towing anymore. The twins are a little laggier than the single but the temps are always lower. I';m not running big injectors (40 hp) and that obviously helps but I can still dyno over 500 hp and tow easily at the 350 hp level.

I agree with Chrisw 100%. The best my truck ever pulled was with just the intake, exhaust, and EZ. As soon as I got to the point where I upgraded the turbo, the bottom end started going away and it was a lot more work to tow with it. I still put the stock turbo back on when I'm gonna be towing for a while so I can get my midrange back (until I can afford to take Todd's path with twins, anyway).

If you want to keep cost down and still have a nice turbo, I have heard a lot of good things about the Phat Shaft 62 and 64. I am looking to buy a 62 in the near future and I have around 425 hp or so

I tow with a 35/40 , jammer 3s and my drag comp on 1x1 its a 6sp with 3:55 it tows great . ;)

I just had chris at RIVER CITY TURBO 501-562-7499 build me a 62 did not have a chance to put it on yet . Oo.

cool thanks guys, now I've gotta decide twins or just leave it, and throw in a transmission with a TC/Vb. anyways the input is always appreciated.
