See TSB 18-024-00 - Low Engine Power When The Automatic Transmission Is In Overdrive
This applies to vehicles equipped with a 5. 9L-24V diesel engine and automatic transmission built between engine serial numbers 56666444 to 56798357, with a date of manufacture of DEC. 15,1999 to NOV. 15, 2000.
If your engine falls into this group, the dealer needs to reprogram the ECM.

anyone had this TSB done ? my truck was built on the 15th and i'd hate to have it screwed up , never mind have to do 2 injector swaps just to get it done , i wonder if this is the power DEFUEL during shifts that the 2001 does with the higher HP ? i definitely don't need that with the low hp engine to begin with , sounds fishy to me ????
superdave , depending on the grade you should probably be taking it out of OD if you insist on staying stock , like you said above the posted limit , and egts will stay more in control , less chance of lugging .
