I don't have a personal axe to grind with warrior although I certainly have many a reason to justify it if I wanted to be that way. Likewise, I could easily hijack this thread with a huge post on negative things I've seen at the plant, on trailer lines, and with the management at ww but that's not necessary and nor prudent for this particular discussion.
The warrior I have is not repeat not my 1st trailer therfore I fully understand that these things are delicate and get hammered on bumpy roads i. e. things will loosen, move, get tweaked etc. I also understand the concept of building light in order to have cargo capacity. They're all like that, warrior's basic design is virtually identical to all the others.
My problem with ww is that (IMO) they're living off their past reputation. To me, they're kind of a "Cadillac" story in the toyhauler business. Cadillac built a very very solid repluation early on which carried on throughout the years even after they started to make crappy vehicles that had terrible quallity problems. In may circles Cadillac still is the defacto Gold Standard for cars even though most in-the-know industry folks would admit other brands far surpass them in qualilty (although they've came back a long way).
I'm not saying warriors are junk, not at all, but what I am saying is that most of the talk-up on these warriors is marketing/sales hype coupled with their reputation from the early days. We really really like they floor plan and accouterments of our warrior. The storage is great as well.
My point is for folks to be informed (not fooled) into thinking ww is something above and beyond the others. In my personal experience and after talking with many many other ww owners (both in-person and at the dunes) and on other RV forum boards is that I'm confident they're no better (or worse) than any other manufacturor. Decide if they're look, price, and layout is what you're after and then buy; just don't buy a ww because they're perceived to be so much better than anything else. I challenge anyone that thinks that to go to Perris, CA (their plants) and look around and take in the sights. If you can see anything there that screams quality, efficiency, and/or skilled workforce I'd be suprised.
Again, my beef with ww is not about my personal trailer, it's about across-the-board negatives that many folks experience year after model year, and about things I saw at the plant that were not positives in regard to their approach.
p. s. My warrior cost double what I paid for my 02 Forest River and has had orders of magnitude more design & quality issues than our Forest River trailer (only had 1).
