Not exactly what you asked but close..
When I was pulling stock trailers for a local dealer, I ran M55s and he ran XPS's. I would get 65 - 70K miles out of mine and he would get 45 - 50K. I have a Dodge putting at least 300 hp to the ground all the time pulling. He had Fords that maybe put 200 to the ground (all stock). I could never talk him into Toyos. I ran 2 sets of M55s on mine as well as several other sets of Goodyears (bad), Dunlop (so so), Yokohama (OK).
XPS tires are all steel construction even side walls. M55s are not. XPS's traction in the winter was so so. M55s was great. We both siped our tires and we both pulled hard. Toyo does make some great all steel tires, just not in 16".
I do not think you will go wrong with either tire.
I sure like the M55s.
