Senior Doubleclutch and King Boardman,
You guys should get together and spin some tires.
As for pictures on our website - since a 300 hp burn out and a 500 hp burn-out look similar, it's hard for a photograph to capture the effects of massive hp. It's easy for a photograph to capture the effects of good suspension. This weekend, Spike's "Xtreme 4x4" has devoted an entire episode to KORE suspension installation, function and testing. They went even farther than photography and actually put a camera inside the fender of the truck and filmed the suspension absorbing bumps - even a little jump. I was impressed by the show's detail - and the off-road part, even though it took place in a field and not the desert, really warmed my dusty heart.
I like photos of KORE trucks in the air.
Let it be known: Anyone who sends me a picture of their KORE-equipped truck with all four wheels off the ground gets a permanent location on the KORE website. Just be careful; you've got to know what you're doing. It's kind of like the expression, "One Martini is not enough, but two is too much. " A certain height/speed combo is fine and won't damage a thing - 2" higher or 5 mph faster and you've either broken something or you're on your head. I respect good, scary driving and will post any photo that demonstrates these skills.
As for the two of you, I'm not sure who owns the scarier truck. I've driven both and I think Greg L's truck raised my fear factor higher than Greg B's truck. Greg B's truck is gnarly, but it's not scary-gnarly like Greg L's truck.
That's why I may or may not attend May Madness - puns intended.
All the horsepower that was flying around Las Vegas was very intimidating. I would have felt more comfortable if they were measuring wheel travel - something both Gregs have. At that time The Beast only ran 309 on the dyno. Next to Greg L's 500+ hp monster, The Beast felt a little, uh, emasculated.
We might be there again, but this time with a trick new South Bend, Double Disc clutch that will permit us to push the horsepower envelope a bit harder. That way I won't be so embarrassed by the Big Dogs and their black smoke!
