A few weeks ago I had all four tires replaced. As I drove away from the tire shop my TPMS MIL activated on. Back to the shop after a 20 minute drive to see if the TPMS would reset. The front passenger side and rear drivers side reset, the other two did not reset. The shop guy metered all the sensors and found the front drivers side not reading, the others were reading okay on his meter. The front drivers side was broken from the tire installation and replaced. They said the rear sensor was good and said to drive the truck at speeds above 30 mph and wait 24 hours for a reset. The front reset after a few miles , but the rear did not. Back to the shop again, they replaced the rear sensor. After more driving around and waiting for another 24 hours, it never reset. I went back to the tire shop, they once again metered the sensor and said it must be the truck. Sounds like bullshat to me.
Weird thing is my Uconnect phone app reads the pressure of all four tires correctly. I deflated the tire to 0 psi then inflated back to 77 psi. Still no reset.
I'm done with dealing with the tire shop, they are no help at this point. I am wondering if the non oem sensor replacement it the issue or if you guys know if there is an additional trick to get this to reset back to normal.

You have to inflate to the placard pressure or above to turn out the light. So if your rears are 80 PSI like mine you need to go to 80+ then deflate (within 20%) to desired pressure after the light goes off. And it isn't the truck, more than likely damaged sensors if it still will not reset. The sensors need to park for at least 20 minutes with key off, not 24 hours.

The saga continues... I have done what sag2 recommended. Thanks for the response sag2. When I ran the pressure up to 85lbs on the tire that does not read pressure (right rear), the other rear tire (left rear) pressure reading increased pressure on the screen, so, I waited a day and deflated the(right rear) tire down to 70lbs. The other tire (left rear) tire reading lowered to 70lbs. Looks like the tpms are reading backwards in the rear tires...right? Nope, I then swapped the two rear tires right and left, the right rear continues to not read pressure on the screen. The left rear continues to respond to different pressures in the tire, even though when it was installed on the truck on the opposite side. I believe the truck is not reading the tire pressure on the right rear side for some reason. Do you guys think disconnecting the batteries and reconnecting like a hard boot for the computer would get the sensors reading again? I appreciate any help coming my way for this problem. Thanks for your help!

Did you drive it after swapping rear tires?

Are you getting the TPMS low psi light (orange tire) or a “service TPMS warning”?

After the tire swap I drove on the freeway for 50 miles, the pressure still has not reset. I get a TPMS service warning, the orange tire light flashes on/off after starting the motor then after 1 min, it stays solid orange. The pressure indication shows front tires at 65psi the left rear shows 80psi and the right rear does not read psi just shows a straight line where the pressure should readout. On my Uconnect phone app it shows pressure readings in all four tires.

Yep, time for the dealer to check it. Make sure they know it has aftermarket sensors in it so they don't get way off course.

The dealers now have a newer style tpms tool since Magnetti Moreli tpms are essentially aftermarket and need to be programmed for the vehicle they go into.

Some of same problem, 2017 3500 4x4 dually. Had Discount Tire do a rotate/balance, a complete snow ball in he!!. Finally got wheels back in correct position after returning 4 times. Left front damaged sensor was replaced with one from dealer. Still will not read after 48 hours and 150 miles. Now getting a Service TPMS Warning and left front reading — instead of psi. Will it need to go dealer for reprogramming? This is the factory system with Michelin tires the same size as original. Thanks in advance

The truck will auto sense a rotation, so I’m not sure why you had to put the wheels back to the original spot.

I haven’t changed a sensor so I’m not if it’s required, but I n know it can be done with AlfaOBD.

Wasn't there something with the Duallys that they are matched to their position?
Were the SRW can be mounted where ever one wants.

I don't think so. I leave my rears where they have been since new. I tell them to mark the wheels when removing for new tires. Fronts I tell them do do the same and when rotating fronts oNLY I have them just move tires side to side keeping rotation the same.

I figure it's not going to be a problem doing so!
