Once again I have to impose on this knowledgeable group for guidance. I can't thank you guys enough for your help!

I bought this RAM late last summer and have put about 3,000 miles on it and figure it's probably a good time to rotate the tires since I don't when it was last done, if ever. With this damn hernia and being on weight lifting restrictions I figure it's probably better to pay the local tire shop to have him lift these monsters.

They rotated them and I noticed that the display (TPMS) is now showing the wrong air pressures i the dash cluster. The fronts should have 60 PSI in them and the display is showing 81 PSI. Likewise the rear tires should have 80 PSI in them and the display is showing 60 PSI. I checked the tires with the trusty Milton gage and the tires have the correct pressure in them for their actual location. The problem is the sensors are showing in the wrong location.

I have the ALFA OBD APP and the MX2 scan module and looked all through the body computer settings and couldn't find an option to reset them. Is it possible to reset them with ALFA OBD? If not, how can I reset them, or is this something I need to live with until the next tire rotation, or buy another tool?

Appreciate any and all help!

Thank you again!
Mark

above 2 posts are correct. i did drive from illinois to colorado years back after rotation and they were reading incorrect for the 1000 mile trip. then the next day they figured it out. cheers! :)

the computer should recognize the sensors in a very short distance. like a mile or so. now that isnt to say something didnt go wonky on your truck or somebody may have put junk chinese knockoff sensors in your tires.
also i dont think the computer /sensor/ actual tire psi are comunicating between each other with a high degree of accuracy.
my thresh hold is set at 38psi so i keep them just a hair over that but when its cold and they drop to 38 the screen will have a warning on one tire but not the other. must be a small margin of error in the system

Mine have varied on the reset from a mile to twentyish miles but usually within a few miles. Seems there is always one holdout that takes longer compared to the rest. I seem to recall the laggart is always in the front, but cant remember which side.

The sensors should transmit about once per minute above 25 mph. The WCM needs to see one out of ten transmissions (gives plenty of room for error) before it sets a code. They should correct within 10 miles on average.
