Thats sorta not the whole story. I would have to say that this is a regional event. Meaning drivers in each class earn points. Like nascarr. Regional events run strictly what is scheduled. Region covers basically the five state area and Ontario.
Heres the good news. We can run are trucks through the NTPA. But if it is setup through the local pullers. Also no points. If enough vehicles show up for a class. They will add that class. I personnally prefer pulls put on by the locals through the ntpa.
Lot of people don't care much for the ntpa. You can thank the insurance companies and lawers for that. I can understand safety is important. People have been killed and injured in this sport. Every time something happens. The insurace companies want more safety equipment and etc. If the ntpa does not comply. They lose there insurance. Lawsuits are spendy now days. I personally think that they have overkilled on safety. Its not as fun as it used to be. But I still go anyway.
Heres a local schedule not found on the ntpa site. But is put on through the ntpa. If you wanna find out what they are running e-mail Gueningmans Automaotive.

Remeber it may not be on this schedule. They may add a class if necissary. Some times they will let ya run for the hack of it.
We could always just start our own pulling series. wether it be with dhra or not. Mike up in North Dakota has a sled. The possibilties are endless. Diesel trucks are becoming so popular. Lets invite all brands and lets put on a show.
