trading y2k alum. for steel wheels

I was interested in maybe trading someone my y2k 2500, 4WD aluminum wheels for some steel "rally" style wheels. I always have been a fan of the steel wheels, but my dealer wouldn't let me get them with the SLT package. I only want new ones in excellent cond. as that is the condition mine are in. Anyway, i should prob. post this in the classified, but I need to track down my member #. Sorry if this post is out of line on the forum. Anyway, anyone who might be interested, give me an e mail.

I'll trade with you if you can make it to San Jose. I have 23,000 miles on my Wheels but they look like new as far as I can tell. I have a 1999 2500 with the Chrome steel wheels.

Guess I better give a little more info. The steel wheel I'm talking about is the one with the beauty ring. Kind of like a "rally wheel". Comes standard on the "work" trucks. Also, part of the deal is - person would have to come to me and pay for mounting and balancing - because I know my wheel is worth a lot more. I'm not desperate for this, that's why I must do it under my conditions. Anyway, anyone interested, just let me know.

Are the '99 ('94 - '99?) steel wheels interchangable with the '00 alum wheels? I thought I saw somewhere that they weren't due to a backspacing or brake caliper interferance.

Older wheels may not be interchangable with new ones, thats why I think I just assume trade with another y2k, safer that way.

Is it your plan to paint them white to match your truck? I think those would look very nice, painted white with chrome rings, on a white truck. If you get yours set up that way, take some pictures, I'd like to take a look. You truck would have a unique appearance.
