Okay go to hook up trailer, plug it in. Have left turn signal no right turn. Trailer wiring and bulbs fine. Checked truck plug have left turn no right turn. Truck signals all work. Any ideas?

Maybe a 3rd gen owner should respond to this. This problem is inherent to this vintage of truck. So due a search to find a solution, there are a few that you will find. Not cheap or easy.

I would start checking for corrosion somewhere. Check the backside of the truck plug for green stuff. Unplug the harness from the socket and check for power there first.

There is a connector up behind the LF fender splash shield. Find the one that feeds the trailer hook up and unplug it. Check for right side turn power there to figure out if your issue is in the power center or in the harness that goes the length of the truck. Do not prick any wires with a test light. You can do this by un-plugging stuff.

Take your time and figure out how to release the connectors without breaking any of the locking tabs.

Mike.

Can anyone tell me if the trailer tow relays are a replaceable part or part of a bigger module. When you open the hood to get at fuses you can hear a relay opening and closing on the left turn signal. but nothing on the right turn. So I'm thinking the trailer tow right turn relay is not working. Any input?
