Cincinnati, OH to Avon, CT - Best Route?

Anyone know how to get the studs out? 10 year old trailer and I am replacing the backing plates, hubs, drums, and all new hardware.

It seems that the flange where the backing plates bolt to backs almost right up to the torflex arm on the axle. I hammered the studs loose but it doesnt seem like there is enough room to get it out and a new one in ???

ToreFlex axels have been one of the things I never liked, but for the money you are spending. Have you looked into replaceing the whole axle? For my 89 trailer they didn't run that much more. It's has to be costing you better then $100. 00 a wheel now.

Yes cost per axle to replace everything (entire backing plate, hubs, drums, bearings) is about $250 including shipping but new Torflex axles are $600 each not including shipping. It's just too much money.

If I went to a different type of axle (spring) I'd have to get into welding mounts, etc. etc. , so here I am.
