I did a search to see if I had already posted this and dont think I have.
There is a slam when my truck shifts into OD, I would call the slam severe. It will literally sound like something is going to gernade and stuff will fly off the dash. It dosent do it everytime, more like every third time it wont.
I've been working with a local person who is familar with the builders transmissions. Between him experiencing it and talking with the builder it has been decided that the slam is a result of the way my trans shifts into OD and the tripple disk converter. Apparently there are three different shift patterns with the 48RE.
I trust the word of both parties but dont believe that's just the way it is and cant be fixed. It seems I would have heard of others experiencing the same issues.
Any clues that could help us trouble shoot this?
TIA
