Trans Temp Light

Hi Guys;



I thought I would throw this out to you Guys. I have had some intermittent problems with my Trans Temp Light it seems to flash for no reason. Also I get some times where the info center chime goes off for no reason.



First Time it happened it was Cold weather, second time it was wet weather, third time yesterday it was dry just as I started on a 400 mile trip into my first hr, and never happened again.



Any comments! Please help!

Are you sure it's not the check gauge light flashing. There was a problem on some 2003's with the check gauge light flashing for a second. I had it on my truck and a simple re flash of the computer fixed it.



The first time it blipped I was not sure what light flashed so I got out the owners manual to check the diagram and the trans temp and check gauges are right next to each other so maybe you saw the check gauge light. Either way it sounds like a re flash is in your future.

Also, make sure your dealer follows the procedure to the letter. I know one guy here on the TDR had to get a new instrument cluster because they did not follow the procedure properly.

If you turn the key on before you latch your seat belt the chime will sound.
