Transmissiion leaking from electrical connector just above pan

So while fixing a leaky rediator I noticed a patch of transmission fluid under the truck. I noticed that the fluid was all over the transmission from the pan seal down. To find the leak I soaked the entire thing in degreaser then hosed off. Next day when it was all dry I got under the truck and it was still leaking as expected. This time I could see the source. The electrical connector on the transmission just above the pan on the driver side rear corner of the pan is leakng fluid out while its just sitting in the driveway not running. Additionally after fixing the radiator and test driving I noticed the transmission temp sensor coming on, overdrive off light coming on and it locking the TC.



Not sure what is broke or how it is related to the transmission temp sensor. Taking it to Scheid diesel in Effingham, IL on Friday to get serviced. Anyone ever had this connector leak fluid? What is this connector connected to? Thoughts anyone?

so that is the connector that goes to all the solenoids and transducers... . expains your problem... is the fluid coming from inside it or around it? orings on the outside... weather pack sealing on the inside. tryin to remember if the transducers are part of the harness and plug... . just had one apart couple weeks ago. Cerb? can you remeber?

Yep, you can buy the harness with solenoids relatively cheap. Easy swap once you drop the VB. The stupid plastic tower cracks and leaks fluid causing a mess, possibly shifting problems, and lights on the dash. The temp sensor is part of that harness.

You can get the harness only but it is harder to find. Its just an o-ring seal but the plug itself usually cracks causing the leak.
