Long story short: my 48RE sprung a leak from a rubbed line and drained the fluid... the transmission ate itself fast. Two and half months later, it was "fixed". Drove about 100 miles yesterday and had problems on the way home. The shifting pattern was abnormal (seemed to stay in 3rd, wouldn't go to overdrive, wouldn't downshift when going uphill, etc). Eventually, there was no power through the transmission... I thought I was back to square one. Checked fluid, normal. Turned off truck then restarted. Everything worked fine for about 10 miles, then it started again. I can regain power by turning off the truck and restarting. I'm thinking computer issue?!? Codes were p0700, p0837, p0838, p0839. ANY IDEAS??
The last thing I want to do is take it back to the place that took two and a half months to fix it the first time (remote Alaska with no dealership available). I have to call Chrysler today anyways to settle my warranty claim from the original issue and will ask advice as well.
